HTC VIVE Virtual Reality System Tracker

Got 3 of them for my valve index and they work beautifully. Maybe purchase more in the future but definitely worth the money.

These trackers are very nice although if you were expecting a charging cable in the box I would be disappointed because all the box comes with is a dongle, dongle base and a cable for the dongle base. If you plan on using these for production or body tracking i definitely recommend it!

Check your boxes immediately. I ordered three of these, and none of them came with the dongle thats supposed to fit into the cradle. I didnt realize I was missing hardware, I just thought that the cradle was the receiver and couldnt figure out why I could only get my headset to recognize the tracker as a controller. By the time I realized what was wrong I was way passed any reasonable time to return.

I can play with my feet now, Im... not super into that but I found some enjoyment doing all the funny poses. my online friends sure were happy, so I think the trackers are doing a good job of that. to call these good trackers is a bit arbitrary, there isnt any other solution (other than the Kinect) for full-body atm. I mean, they are just gizmos that allow for extra tracked body parts. what else are ya gonna need? other than 3 of these and the belt straps?

It is still going well for me even after all the kicks and bumping into stuff. Also very reliable and sturdy for all the years and Im still happy I got them to this day!

I like that they last longer and I dance a lot in vrc so it really enhances my performance.

Ive had a host of constant issues, and every person I have spoken to on VRChat has experienced similar problems. Once you have them working, theyre GREAT. The technology of full body tracking is amazing. The problem is, virtually every time I turn these things on, I have to reconfigure or troubleshoot something, or the entire thing. 4 out of 5 times I use them I have to re-pair, unpair, swap, relaunch, and do a bunch of fiddling to get everything working the way its supposed to. Its an enormous pain in the tush almost every time. I can change literally nothing in my configuration, and have to reconfigure it next time I use it. Its nonsensical. One of the pucks also refuses to power on when I press the button, unless I first plug it into my PC. It wont power on when plugged into a USB charger, it will only turn on when plugged into a PC USB port. Its not a matter of a defective battery or being uncharged, because once its on, it stays on for hours. What could cause such a strange issue, I dont know. Defective right out of the box and Ill need to send it back for replacement. Pain in the tush.

I hate the battery life but other than that there fun

If youre looking to buy these specifically for VRChat, and youre on the edge about purchasing them, buy them. Being able to move your legs and hips is a complete game changer, the experience to me was comparable to being in vr for the first time. Simply cannot play VRChat anymore without using these, so much of the experience is lost.
