I basically never talk about unboxing, rarely comment on the features of the case, and as often as not am irritated by the dozen things coded on the touch pads. What I care about most is sound quality, and once again I am blown away by the sound quality of the HTC buds. There is an expansive sound stage with good localization in space. They are accurate, detailed,, precise. You can identify individual instruments, notes, hear the resonance off a guitar string, and can easily tell the difference between a flac and an mp3 file. There is a terrific range, either the highs nor lows sound clipped. Much better sound than it is reasonable to expect in this price range. They even compete with more expensive ear buds. Yeah I am a little nuts about sound. I need to find the best. I have upwards of a dozen sets of ear buds and as many head phones. I did stop looking when I got the Sony xm1000s, but I have a glass studio which is on a roofed lanai, exposed to the elements and sometimes hot flying glass, so I went looking for a less expensive set so I didnt risk ruining them. I have tried between 20 and 30 sets of ear buds in the $50 - 100 range (and some very much more expensive). I really think you can not do better in this price range IF you like as neutral sound profile...... and even if you want extra bass, these can be EQed because the range is there. One of maybe 3 sets of ear buds I did not take off when Miles Davis came on. They approach the Devialets ($300) for Jazz. The former are warmer but the HTCs are more than competent. I could go on but, I am guessing that is enough about the sound profile for most ;) They paired immediately, even though I did not see any lights/ indication blue tooth was on. Simple, instant. They have touch pads so that you can change volume, skip tracks, change the noise cancellation with a tap.. The case is simple and straight forward, led indicators that let you know when the case is charged and the ear buds are charged. Noise cancellation is good. They are small, comfortable, fit and do not fall out! (The only others I can say that about are the Altec Lansings, which I think are the only real competition under $200. I think they are as good or better than the Jabra 65ts, and much more comfortable. They also best the new elite 3s in both comfort and sound quality. I did say that I do not talk about unboxing, but since the holidays are coming up, yes, they are nicely presented. Thank you HTC! Great sound

So glad this is legit from HTC. The price point and quality are great for me to get into the wireless earbuds! I can also wear it comfortably. Noise isolation is already excellent that ANC mode does not have to be on for daily activities.

I must say it hasnt disappointed me since day one, I received it. ANC is perfect for my bus ride, esp in NYC traffic. Battery life is what I have expected as HTC said and IMO it is better than my Jabra 65t since I can use both earbuds independently of each other.

For the price, you cant go wrong! Ive already purchased and returned the Apple Pro (didnt like, fell out of my ear, the Anker Soundcore Life p2 minis (not great sound, but cheap) and of the 3, these are the ones Ill keep. Good sound, good battery and reasonably priced! Nice job HTC! (Only downfall is no wireless charging, but I can live without it)

Appearance: These are petite white earbuds with the small protrusion coming out of the bottom - I presume to help hold them in your ears better. They come with a matching charging case - something I find to be extremely useful when you are using ear buds. Assembly: Nothing to assemble here - pull the case with the earbuds out of the manufacturer packaging and throw them in the charger. Once they are fully charged, pair them with your phone and start listening to you music/podcast/movie of your choice. Thoughts: Im a big fan of these ear buds, especially when you consider the big sound coming out for a small price. The value here is great! These have been very comfortable for me, especially for extended listening sessions. Im very happy with these. Overall: Great Value for Nice Ear Buds

I hate adding the qualifier to the subject line, but if theres a TL;DR for this review, its that these are good earbuds for the price, but dont expect them to compare well to more expensive ones. I feel like HTC cut a few corners to keep these sub $100. That said, theres a lot of good here, too. I can see using these as everyday earbuds if my more expensive ones ever break and not minding at all. Heres the breakdown of my experience so far: PROS *Sharp sound. Seriously, absolutely crystal clear. I listened to a few songs on those lists of most misheard lyrics and had zero trouble understanding any of them. I tried a few of my favorite songs with people singing harmony (Dear Prudence from the Across the Universe soundtrack is a great test of any speaker), and I can hear every voice distinctly. Listening to anything with an orchestra, I can hear each individual instrument well enough that I feel like I know how many days its been since the trumpet player polished it. This is the big one. If the sound wasnt good, thered be no point talking about the rest. So understand that whatever else I complain about, the sound is great. *NO APP. It feels wrong to make something these lack into a pro, but Im sick of earbuds requiring dedicated apps. Huge kudos to HTC for not forcing another one on me. I dont feel like any functionality is missing for not having one. Connection was a snap (once I realized I hadnt pulled the film of the charging ports, anyway...), theres just no need for another piece of software between me and my music. CONS *Lacking in bass. The counterpoint to sharp sound above is that the bass just lacks punch. Its not tinny like theres no bass at all, but everything is just on the edge of ears-bleedingly sharp. It doesnt quite tip over that edge, but its always there. *Noise cancellation...doesnt. I have these firmly seated in my ears, I have the most comfortable set of tips in, and all 3 settings let just as much sound through. And Im not talking about someone blaring the big game either, I can hear my wife typing in the next room right now. Honestly, if there wasnt a voice telling me which setting I was on, I wouldnt know. *Touch controls seem overly sensitive. I have to make a very careful effort to grab the outsides of these earbuds if I need to adjust the fit at all, because if my fingertip slides anywhere near the touch pads, they think Im trying to pause or skip my music. *No Qi charging? I feel like this is one of the corners that was cut to hit the price point. I like being able to drop my earbud case on my Qi charger instead of having to fumble for a cable. *No auto-off when you remove them. This one shocked me. You can take one or both earbuds out, and the music will keep playing instead of pausing. I thought this was standard in all earbuds. *Bluetooth range was surprisingly limited. I walked through a doorway about 10 feet away from where my phone was on my desk and started having gaps in the music I was listening to. None of my other earbuds have this problem around the exact same doorway. Thats about it. Again, please remember that the important part is that the sound is really good. The rest of this is qualifiers to that. If you need a good set of sub-$100 earbuds, these are a great choice. If you have a bit more to spend...well, maybe consider splurging.

I actually got these a couple months ago and forgot to review them. Oops. My current hobby is to find the bestest best budget (meaning under $50) earbuds available. I dont know if these are the bestest out there, but they are certainly up near the top. However, while they are under $50 on cyber Monday, they are normally close to $70. But they are still really good for the price. Instructions - very basic and most of the English part is concerned with knowing that you didnt get a counterfeit. And some legal info. But the actual two pages (tiny pages in tiny font) seem to be written by an English speaker and are very clear and concise. Pairing - it was easy to pair these. I just got a new phone last week, so I originally had them paired to my old phone. I didnt have to reset anything to pair them to this. I just had to turn the Bluetooth off on my old phone. Case/battery - pretty basic. Its got rounded corners and a matte finish, so it feels nice in the hand. Depending on whether you have ANC on or not, the battery can last around 6 hours on a charge, and the case has about three more charges in it. Controls - pretty good. Play/pause is single tap, which is how it *should* be! Double tap on either bud is next track, and triple tap is last track. Long press will cycle between ANC, ambient, and ANC off. There is no volume control on the buds, but I normally dont need that. The sensitivity is perfect. Latency - none. I prefer to watch videos, and I *hate* it when theres a lag between the video and the voice. I didnt notice any lag at all. Comfort - pretty good. I didnt have to change out the silicon tips, the mediums fit just fine. The seal is amazing, and my ears dont hurt after an hour. Noise Cancelling - extremely good. Youre supposed to be able to switch it off, and the little voice prompt says its changing, but all of them sound like ANC is on. Sound quality - I had to play with the equalizer on my Amazon Music app, but once I did, everything sounded really good. I have a few high end earbuds that sound quite a bit better, but they are also $200+ more. For this price point, the sound quality is really, really, really good. TL;DR: These are great for the $45-$70 price point (sale vs not). Im not sure they are the bestest of the best, but they are certainly really good.

HTC has a hard time surviving in the competitive smartphone market. The brand name is not much visible in the smartphone market. To some people, HTC still represents quality. It looks like Fortune Ship International Industrial Limited licensed the HTC brand name for this product. Anyway, it is a high-quality product. The design of the shape fits my ears. The ANC is very effective. On a train or a bus, I don’t hear outside sounds. I can listen to music and podcasts clearly. I don’t have to turn the volume up and hurt my ears. The touch control works well. It’s an excellent product at a bargain price.
