> 24 hourI hate adding the qualifier to the subject line, but if theres a TL;DR for this review, its that these are good earbuds for the price, but dont expect them to compare well to more expensive ones. I feel like HTC cut a few corners to keep these sub $100. That said, theres a lot of good here, too. I can see using these as everyday earbuds if my more expensive ones ever break and not minding at all. Heres the breakdown of my experience so far: PROS *Sharp sound. Seriously, absolutely crystal clear. I listened to a few songs on those lists of most misheard lyrics and had zero trouble understanding any of them. I tried a few of my favorite songs with people singing harmony (Dear Prudence from the Across the Universe soundtrack is a great test of any speaker), and I can hear every voice distinctly. Listening to anything with an orchestra, I can hear each individual instrument well enough that I feel like I know how many days its been since the trumpet player polished it. This is the big one. If the sound wasnt good, thered be no point talking about the rest. So understand that whatever else I complain about, the sound is great. *NO APP. It feels wrong to make something these lack into a pro, but Im sick of earbuds requiring dedicated apps. Huge kudos to HTC for not forcing another one on me. I dont feel like any functionality is missing for not having one. Connection was a snap (once I realized I hadnt pulled the film of the charging ports, anyway...), theres just no need for another piece of software between me and my music. CONS *Lacking in bass. The counterpoint to sharp sound above is that the bass just lacks punch. Its not tinny like theres no bass at all, but everything is just on the edge of ears-bleedingly sharp. It doesnt quite tip over that edge, but its always there. *Noise cancellation...doesnt. I have these firmly seated in my ears, I have the most comfortable set of tips in, and all 3 settings let just as much sound through. And Im not talking about someone blaring the big game either, I can hear my wife typing in the next room right now. Honestly, if there wasnt a voice telling me which setting I was on, I wouldnt know. *Touch controls seem overly sensitive. I have to make a very careful effort to grab the outsides of these earbuds if I need to adjust the fit at all, because if my fingertip slides anywhere near the touch pads, they think Im trying to pause or skip my music. *No Qi charging? I feel like this is one of the corners that was cut to hit the price point. I like being able to drop my earbud case on my Qi charger instead of having to fumble for a cable. *No auto-off when you remove them. This one shocked me. You can take one or both earbuds out, and the music will keep playing instead of pausing. I thought this was standard in all earbuds. *Bluetooth range was surprisingly limited. I walked through a doorway about 10 feet away from where my phone was on my desk and started having gaps in the music I was listening to. None of my other earbuds have this problem around the exact same doorway. Thats about it. Again, please remember that the important part is that the sound is really good. The rest of this is qualifiers to that. If you need a good set of sub-$100 earbuds, these are a great choice. If you have a bit more to spend...well, maybe consider splurging.

> 24 hourThese Earbuds are amazing. The sound profile is nice with decent bass but also great clarity on the highs. Honestly was amazed by how long the battery lasts. Rarely need to charge it and I use them every day for decent amounts of time. Amazing for the price!!!

> 24 hourAnother entry in what is almost an endless sea of wireless earbuds! These come from a brand name manufacturer, HTC, so I figured Id give them a chance, even though I have more wireless earbuds at this point than I need, including some very good ones. So how do these stack up? Packaging: A simple, small box contains a charging case, a pair of earphones, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and three different size silicone tips (one pre-installed). Egronomics: These earbuds are relatively small (see photo), and I found them comfortable in the ear for extended wear. They felt stable in my ears. You control things like pause/skip/etc. by various taps on the flat regions of the earbuds--There is no tactile button, its touch-sensitive (unfortunately). You also control whether the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is turned on or off by a long press on the left earbud. Its off, by default, when you first put them on. The charging case is relatively small. Three lights on the outside of the case indicate charging status. Battery life: Youll get about 4 or so hours on a full charge when listening to music with ANC. You get about 5-6 recharges from the case before youll need to recharge the case itself. This is pretty reasonable, and good for the segment. Dedicated phone app: There is no app for these headphones. This means all controls are performed on the headphones themselves, and there is no way to update the firmware. Noise cancellation: The ANC on these earbuds is very good, certainly towards the better end of what Ive experienced with earbuds. Call quality: Those on the other end of the line indicated that I sounded very good and the sound was not hollow or telephonic. Sound quality: 7/10. The bass is fine, although not particularly strong. The mids are quite pleasant, even excellent. The highs are goosed, and I found myself using the music apps equalizer to turn down the treble. At very loud volumes, the earphones did not distort, but on complex music, they did tend to collapse into a flat, congested soundstage. At lower volumes, the soundstage is reasonably wide, and separation was expectedly good. Overall: Theres a lot to like here: Excellent ANC, good call quality, good battery life, comfortable in the ear. Unfortunately, the sound quality is only middle-of-the-pack. To provide context, my current favorite earphones are the Jabra 75t/85t models, which provide more bass and a better balanced high end that stays controlled even at loud volume. But those earphones are about twice the (list) price of these, so there is a reasonable tradeoff. (These are arguably a bit more comfortable, as well). At their price point, these are certainly an attractive option.

> 24 hourInstructions for pairing these HTC earbuds should have put the warning about “TEATING OFF THE ISOLATIVE FILM BEFORE USING” on the first page instead of the last page. I spent one hour trying to pair the HTC earbuds with my iPhone with no result. I didn’t know the earbuds had the film until I read the very last page of the English instructions, after the legal notices and how to check for a counterfeit pair of earbuds. That said, these are great earbuds and actually reduce the background noise and the music sound great. The earbuds are sweat and water resistant, so protected from rain and sweat. Great for intense workouts, outdoor sports or gym, as well as airplane, train and car travel.

> 24 hourFor the price, you cant go wrong! Ive already purchased and returned the Apple Pro (didnt like, fell out of my ear, the Anker Soundcore Life p2 minis (not great sound, but cheap) and of the 3, these are the ones Ill keep. Good sound, good battery and reasonably priced! Nice job HTC! (Only downfall is no wireless charging, but I can live without it)

> 24 hourAppearance: These are petite white earbuds with the small protrusion coming out of the bottom - I presume to help hold them in your ears better. They come with a matching charging case - something I find to be extremely useful when you are using ear buds. Assembly: Nothing to assemble here - pull the case with the earbuds out of the manufacturer packaging and throw them in the charger. Once they are fully charged, pair them with your phone and start listening to you music/podcast/movie of your choice. Thoughts: Im a big fan of these ear buds, especially when you consider the big sound coming out for a small price. The value here is great! These have been very comfortable for me, especially for extended listening sessions. Im very happy with these. Overall: Great Value for Nice Ear Buds
