> 3 dayThis is a nice, attractive pot. It is heavy, works well with induction, and heats evenly. So far I have only used it to make burgers - the high walls help to contain spatter. It cleans up well, but I havent tried making eggs in it, and likely wont. It recommends seasoning, which is utter nonsense. The black coating is ceramic nonstick, and the silver bits are stainless steel. Neither of these materials take well to seasoning, as they are not porous surfaces. It is trendy online to recommend seasoning stainless, but at best it is a waste of time and oil. At worst, you can polymerize the oil, and destroy the finish of your pot. Update: I did wind up using this for eggs this morning. I fried up a slice of bacon and a sausage patty in it (to control spatter) and then cooked two beaten eggs mixed with 3 tbsp of salsa. I used the bacon grease from the slice of bacon to cook the eggs.My expectations were low based on other reviewers experience with eggs. I was pleasantly surprised that the eggs did not stick at all. Normally, I turn the burner off shortly before the eggs are done, put cheese on top, and then cover to let the cheese melt from the residual heat. I forgot to turn the burner off this morning, but still no sticking - and the cheese didnt stick either. I used an induction burner set to 400 watts, which is approximately medium-low.

> 3 dayWe have a bunch of non-stick pans that weve used for years, and it was recently that I took a good look at my T-Fal saucepan... Im realizing that the coating is breaking down after the past 3 years of near daily use. I started to look into Stainless Steel, but I wasnt looking forward to scrubbing them clean when food sticks and burns on it. Then I looked at this HexClad 8-quart Saucepan and I think I have found my next great cookware. It came nicely boxed and protected, and the glass lid and pot had no blemishes or rough edges. The inside of the pot is a nice textured dark grey, and is supposed to be a mix of ceramics and diamond dust for non-stick performance. The same coating is present on the outside of the pot as well. Your first use asks for the pot to be seasoned with a tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium-low; after that, I decided to try making a Chili Mac to test it out. Sweating down some chopped onions and celery showed no obvious hot spots, and adding in the tomatoes and tomato sauce and cooking things down for an hour went fine. I like the glass lid since I can see inside the pot easily. The meal prep went fine, and when I went to wash up the pot, it was a breeze... a quick rinse out, soap to clean and final rinse left it in great shape. There were no discoloration from the acids in the tomato puree, and no burnt spots on the bottom. It has a nice hefty weight, and is a great size for sauces and stews. I definitely will be looking at more Hexclad products in the future!

> 3 dayI was apprehensive about purchasing this at first, as it didnt look silver. I wanted the size which isnt sold in any off brand so I bit the bullet and paid the 199 for it. It is actually silver, or that is what I received, which I prefer. I have another 7 qt Hexclad piece that is more of an everyday pan which I am very happy with. I also have other off brand pieces and an off brand set that I really like. Thus far they all perform equally and the off brand are actually prettier as they have designs. I purchased off brand sets for my son and daughter who really like them. Both sets were a different brand and perform equally. I added to their sets with different brand everyday pans and skillets, as I want to test as many of the different brands as possible. My daughter really loves them and has started cooking more as she says they make cooking more enjoyable : ). My son says his performs equally as well and likes the fact that they are nonstick and clean up quickly. Im getting rid of most of my other cookware, except for my cast iron, which is irreplaceable no matter what. I season the cookware everytime I use it, and use a generous amount of olive oil in all of my cooking, complimented with butter. Olive oil is very good for your health, no need to ration, there are no downsides to olive oil. Im really glad I discovered this new technology, in any brand.

> 3 dayI have been wanting to try a Hexclad product ever since I saw a display at Costco and heard all about them. I like how this cooked evenly, cleaned easily, and can be used on the stove and in the oven. It does come with instructions saying not to use a high temperature, but I do not know if that is because it will reduce the longevity of the product or because this technology does not sear well. I am deducting one star for this reason. I like to be able to use all temperatures.

> 3 dayThis pot seems to be very durable. It distributes heat evenly. I like that this pot has double handles for easy maneuvering and holding. I had no issues with food sticking (I did season it prior to my first use). The lid sits pretty well on the pot. It’s easy to clean. I hand wash all my pots and pans so I don’t know how it handles in the dishwasher. I have no issues so far.
