Greater than one weekWe have a bunch of non-stick pans that weve used for years, and it was recently that I took a good look at my T-Fal saucepan... Im realizing that the coating is breaking down after the past 3 years of near daily use. I started to look into Stainless Steel, but I wasnt looking forward to scrubbing them clean when food sticks and burns on it. Then I looked at this HexClad 8-quart Saucepan and I think I have found my next great cookware. It came nicely boxed and protected, and the glass lid and pot had no blemishes or rough edges. The inside of the pot is a nice textured dark grey, and is supposed to be a mix of ceramics and diamond dust for non-stick performance. The same coating is present on the outside of the pot as well. Your first use asks for the pot to be seasoned with a tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium-low; after that, I decided to try making a Chili Mac to test it out. Sweating down some chopped onions and celery showed no obvious hot spots, and adding in the tomatoes and tomato sauce and cooking things down for an hour went fine. I like the glass lid since I can see inside the pot easily. The meal prep went fine, and when I went to wash up the pot, it was a breeze... a quick rinse out, soap to clean and final rinse left it in great shape. There were no discoloration from the acids in the tomato puree, and no burnt spots on the bottom. It has a nice hefty weight, and is a great size for sauces and stews. I definitely will be looking at more Hexclad products in the future!

> 3 dayI’ve used this stock pot once so far and it appears to do and be everything that it claim. It is tough as nails, I used metal in it with not a single scratch. I used it both on my gas stove and an induction plate and they both worked fine. I did season as per instructions before use. I seared chicken in here first and it never stuck but had a really nice brown sear. Then I did a cream sauce which came together well. Holds heat very well. I had left some cream sauce in the bottom overnight and next day, I looked at that big pot dreading cleaning it out. I tilted it and that thick sauce began to just pour out as if it were greased underneath. That was amazing. That would have been a sticky mess in another pot. This is a really large pot! 10Q (I believe it said 11” diameter) so you better have a place to store it. I’m looking forward to making my Chile Con Carne and being able to sear my Chuck roast with no sticking. Also, I haven’t tested its ability to hold a steady, low and slow heat but I have no doubt it will pass that test also. This really is like a hybrid cookware with non stick surface but feels and acts like stainless clad and holds steady heat like cast iron. This is expensive cookware, no doubt, but if you can’t afford the large stock pot, you absolutely have to try to get a pan. I will be looking for a pan for everyday usage. I’m sold on Hex Clad! Gordon Ramsey is right!! Imagine that!!

> 3 dayI made meatballs in the pan, well, I made meatballs in the oven, then simmered them in sauce for an hour in the pan. It wasnt near the capacity of the pan, but I was making scratch meatballs after work and didnt have time for a slow cooker and I wanted to try the new pan. The heat distribution was fantastic on my gas range. No burned edges on the meatballs and no sauce stuck to the bottom of the pan. Come cleanup time I was amazed that it just wiped out, even the ring that forms at the top of the sauce just wiped out. This is not a coated pan, but laser etched stainless steel. Im a customer for life as this is amazing. FWIW, the instructions have you season the pan, similar to cast iron. I followed the instructions included with the pan and it didnt take more than a few minutes and was easily completed while I prepped my meatballs. Im not sure how much this contributed to the ease of cleanup, but it was simple enough I wasnt taking a chance.

> 3 dayDisclaimer: Im a cast-iron nerd. Outside of for fond pans and Dutch ovens, thank you but I want my cookware pure. Enamel however, is only a limited solution for fond or Dutch. Once worn or damaged, it only can get worse. Unlike with pure cast-iron, the coating cant be repaired. So now I get this (+/-) Dutch oven, and the instructions says, Be sure to always season your HexClad cookware with oil. Do that, and the coating will only get better over time. Ah What? Thats cast-iron talk. Youre building up a vegetable oil polymerized coating on top of the HexClad coating? This will be interesting to see over a longer time of usage. Otherwise, it is a very nicely constructed pot. Not as hefty as cast-iron, but still some good weight to it. Oven safe up to 500F, so I am going to give it a workout as a Dutch oven. Now, the advert above does say dishwasher safe, but if youre seasoning a pan or pot, the one way you do not want to clean them, is in a dishwasher.

> 3 dayWe are totally thrilled with our HexClad cookware. It heats quickly and it cleans up so easy. You can just wipe it out with a paper towel and it looks like new. Eggs dont stick, cheese doesnt stick and everything cooks very evenly. I know these are expensive, but you wont regret treating yourself to the luxury of cooking with HexClad!

> 3 dayThis is like getting an expensive handbag. It’s wrapped in branded bags and is almost a work of art. This big pot is heavy, well finished and has the HexClad non stick surface that is guaranteed for a lifetime. It works well with my induction cooktop and will soon be my most used piece of cookware.

> 3 dayThis is hands down my favorite pot. I have been replacing my pots and pans with ones that can be used on my induction cooker and by far this is favorite pot I have ever owned. This pot heats evenly and is so easy to clean. PLEASE make sure you season the pot as instructed in the Hexclad instructions. This came well packaged and they also give you a nice bags to keep the pot and lid in. I will ordering more hexclad.
