First the good: the molding detail is just excellent. Now the rest: its pretty small. I read the reviews and knew it would be, but I was still a little surprised by the size. Im going to try to post a picture of it next to a life size skull to really show the difference. Its a shame, because again, this thing is super realistic (in the molding). The other problem is the painting. I was worried about the red around the eye sockets, but thats not too bad, HOWEVER, there are a few small rubbed/missed spots of no paint where the jawbone meets the skull on one side, which was a real bummer. That was what dropped my review from 4 stars to 3. I guess if you were creative, you could fix or enhance the paint. I got it for $9.50, in my mind, i would have been happier if it was $7-$8.

With coloration to indicate that it has been found in nature. They only drawback is, look at picture, it is the size of a childs skull not an adult. Accurate rendition and appropriately weathered in color.

I am aware that the head is small and not the size of an adult human skull however, it never claimed to be that. The dimensions were clear when I purchased the product. I only mention it because I saw a few complaints online regarding the size. The skull is beautifully crafted. As for durability, I am not sure. I use it just for decoration and it serves its purpose. If you plan on dropping or hitting it, it may not hold up.

I gave this item five stars based on its workmanship and attention to detail. It wasnt really what i was looking for, but it is partially my fault for not reading the description completely. This is a very skull looking skull. Ive seen many that dont have proper cheek-bone indentures, that are kind of bulgy, or are otherwise not very skull-like. The first thing to be aware of is the size: its dimensions are there, but I totally missed them. This skull is about the size of a toddlers skull. Some people might find that kind of creepy. The other thing to know is that the insides of the eye sockets and - especially - the base are painted to give the effect of viscera. If you were looking for a skull totally devoid of flesh then this may not be right for you. If youre looking for an excellent Halloween prop, this skull is awesome and well worth the money.

I love how creepy this guy looks on my desk. It adds just enough creepiness to my room without being overdone. The coloring is done very well and I love that it is small, can fit in one hand easily. He is very heavy and would make a good paper weight for someone looking for that. The only thing I dont like is that his jaw doesnt open, which would be cool for halloween.

MUCH smaller than anticipated, this is not the size of an adult skull, but rather the size of a small baby. Had this been the size of an adult skull, it would have gotten 5 stars. Other than that, the construction is very solid and it has a light-brown finish, with dark red eye sockets.

The details are amazing! If it was bigger it could pass by being real. Highly recommend getting it.
