It seems to work, but not instantly. That’s the Pro part. The con is that once you have a piece off, not an easy task in itself, you will fight to pick up an edge of the plastic that you must peel off. It is devilishly sticky and will certainly spread to nearby skin and perhaps clothing.

I used this tape to patch 3 roof pipe boots whose rubber gaskets were dry rotting. Amazing tack, stretch and adhesion. TIPS: 1. DONT use latex gloves. The adhesive is so tacky, it will pull off the glove fingertips. 2. Try to score through just the tape, not the backing. I found it easier to remove the tape with the backing remaining on the roll. 3. I made the repairs in 91° direct sun. While it provided instant adhesion, it was almost to tacky to work with.

I bought this over a year ago to fix a cracked foot platform on a mobility scooter. It had a big crack and you know that means big bucks $$$ for a fix. So I got looking on Amazon for a sticky patch and this popped up. I read the reviews and product description and ordered one not knowing if it would be any good or not. Honestly I had my doubts. It arrived and I got the scooter out and thoroughly cleaned it of all dirt, grease, crude, and made sure it was good and dry top side and underside. I knew this brand of tape was super sticky so I was sure to cut the exact size I needed. When I peeled the cover off the back of the tape I couldn’t believe how sticky it was. Like fly paper times 10. I carefully put it on the foot pad. I had to put another beside it because it was a large multiple crack. Rubbed it all in and hopped for the best. It has worked incredibly. The floor of the scooter is stronger than before and it has been used plenty here on the farm. Later I used it on the handle of my insta pot lid that I dropped and broke a big chunk off of. The broke piece was not reusable so I got the patch tape out and neatly covered the broken part on the handle. Rubbed it in and it cured it. I have ran it through the dishwasher like that at least 30 times and it is exactly like when I put it on. I will never be without this stuff so long as it’s available. Just make sure you thoroughly clean the thing your going to put it on and rub it on good. Don’t plan on getting it off. Put it in the right spot the first time. You try to take it off and you’ll have a fight on your hands. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.

I used this to add to the top of my formal pond liner, that had shrunken down about 2 over the last 6 years. The liner is regular pond liner, and is somewhat stiff/crispy, but its in a concrete block pond, so I think I can get a few more years out of it. I really only needed 2 at the top, but decided to use the entire 4 width of the tape. I cut each side to the size I needed + 2. I then rolled it up, peeled back the protective sheet as I went, about 4 at a time. These were 5.2 long strips, which was somewhat intimidating when you know you cannot reposition. And you cant. Once its on, its on. I cleaned the liner first, removing any algae, and then cleaning off again with alcohol before I put the tape on. If you figure out how to unroll and remove backing at the same time, as I did, this was an easy job. The tape is holding very well, and I cannot imagine the reviewers who say the backing was dry. No way. They must not have removed the backing. The edge of the tape has a visible line of adhesive, but its under the waterline so I dont care. Anyway, time will tell if it last. But it will probably outlive the liner. Good job, Gorilla.

This tape is strong and weather proof. Once you place the tape on the surface you like, it creates a strong bond. I used it to tape down a tarp over my pop out shed. So far it has stayed in place even with bad weather.

Product stopped my sink leak for about 15 minutes and then it came back, I followed the instructions perfectly. Unfortunately this product will not work for all leaks and it is extremely difficult to remove, almost like a putty.

I needed to patch an above ground pool solar cover with tape on top and bottom of cover. Both sides would be wet. Previous brand failed miserably. The product went on very easily and have remined in place. Great job. Very reasonable priced and delivered by Amazon in one day.

Used to waterproof and seal up a few cracks in a Yakima Skybox cargo carrier I recently purchased. Sticks amazing and will likely last a very long time. Very hard separating the clear plastic from the underside gray part of the product. Make sure to round out the corners before applying. Very impressed by the first use so far. Stuck the skybox out in the rain and no signs of it coming out. Applied to both sides of the cracks I was repairing. Would buy again. Very useful as it can be applied in wet conditions per the product label. Fast delivery and excellent product.

Super sticky, scissors used required cleaning afterward. Followed dirxns and rounded the corners of each piece, and covered both sides of the tear as much as i could with the cover already installed. Looks like black duct tape but the pool cover gets leaves all over it anyway, so no big deal. I’ve stepped on it myself and not felt it give; I weigh 145 with a winter coat on. 50lb dog has not fallen through. Perfect.
