Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape 4 x 10 Black, (Pack of 1)

I am always wary of things that promise waterproof and patch or seal in the same sentence. I have waited a long time to write this review - which is uncharacteristic, but I wanted to wait until I had finished the entire roll and actually seen the performance. I have used this is a myriad of roles, one that has surprised me the most is when I needed to wrap a joint in a conduit where I connected buried EMT to PVC as it went up a tree. There is no exact fitting for this, but I got it to work with some experimentation...I used this tape to wrap the connection - probably overkill but worth it. The tape has been exposed to UV, freeze/thaw, heat, covered in snow and ice, etc. the tape is still stuck, the amazing thing is that it is stuck everywhere...I can’t even use a finger to pry an edge up. I have used many other places and it has always come through. When I first bought it I was puzzled why it was so wide, well wide can always be reduced, but there is no way to make skinny wide. Love the product, and it is definitely something that a homeowner - DIY or HIO (hire it out) should keep around the house for those difficult problems. It’s incredibly versatile, but it is also easy when at hand.

Used to waterproof and seal up a few cracks in a Yakima Skybox cargo carrier I recently purchased. Sticks amazing and will likely last a very long time. Very hard separating the clear plastic from the underside gray part of the product. Make sure to round out the corners before applying. Very impressed by the first use so far. Stuck the skybox out in the rain and no signs of it coming out. Applied to both sides of the cracks I was repairing. Would buy again. Very useful as it can be applied in wet conditions per the product label. Fast delivery and excellent product.

better than oem tape used to cover auto underbody sheet metal holes.

Works great for what I used it for, not sure Id slap it on a boat and head out into the ocean...I used it on some planters that have water reservoirs that were leaking, for the most part this tape did help but the angle I needed to stick it wasnt smooth, so it wasnt 100% leak proof, a little water still leaked out. I also used it on the sharp edges of wood, on a structure I was screening in for my plants, to avoid the screen netting from tearing. It works great for that! Its definitely weather proof, because its been through a lot of storm and its still holding up! The only thing that bothers me, is that its hard to cut without getting sticky, hard to remove glue off the scissors...Ill have to find some kind of solvent to clean them. But the point is to make it sticky and strong...so maybe use a disposable razor blade to cut it.

I purchased this tape to mend my black vinyl banner that I use for my business. The grommets had ripped out and the corners were torn badly. I put this tape on the corners, installed new grommets and my banner looks new again. It is very strong and I feel that it’s going to stand up to the job & not rip loose. This tape is VERY sticky and adheres permanently, so put it on carefully. I’m very happy that I won’t be needing to spend a lot of money on a new banner.

Pretty good for short term repair or anything that needs a strong bond. I used it to keep some parts from the umber body of my car to stay put until I had time to take them to a shop to get fixed. Withstood rain and dirt.

works fine. but wont buy again as it is too expensive for a short roll. (found another brand that works as great much longer)

I bought this over a year ago to fix a cracked foot platform on a mobility scooter. It had a big crack and you know that means big bucks $$$ for a fix. So I got looking on Amazon for a sticky patch and this popped up. I read the reviews and product description and ordered one not knowing if it would be any good or not. Honestly I had my doubts. It arrived and I got the scooter out and thoroughly cleaned it of all dirt, grease, crude, and made sure it was good and dry top side and underside. I knew this brand of tape was super sticky so I was sure to cut the exact size I needed. When I peeled the cover off the back of the tape I couldn’t believe how sticky it was. Like fly paper times 10. I carefully put it on the foot pad. I had to put another beside it because it was a large multiple crack. Rubbed it all in and hopped for the best. It has worked incredibly. The floor of the scooter is stronger than before and it has been used plenty here on the farm. Later I used it on the handle of my insta pot lid that I dropped and broke a big chunk off of. The broke piece was not reusable so I got the patch tape out and neatly covered the broken part on the handle. Rubbed it in and it cured it. I have ran it through the dishwasher like that at least 30 times and it is exactly like when I put it on. I will never be without this stuff so long as it’s available. Just make sure you thoroughly clean the thing your going to put it on and rub it on good. Don’t plan on getting it off. Put it in the right spot the first time. You try to take it off and you’ll have a fight on your hands. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.
