Before buying my Garmin instinct I was little skeptical after reading the reviews about the accuracy of the data but still I went for it purely for its battery life and ability to see the display even in daylight ( I earlier used Gear Fit2 which didnt have this feature).

Easy to use, helpful features, once u use it ull never go out without wearing it

Tough little watch. Dont care for the band its comfortable but always fill that its going to break

Bought this watch for navigation while trekking through Death Valley alone. Where cell phone service is limited and so is charging capability. I used the GLONASS + GPS satellites while hiking. I hiked over 60 miles that week in pretty remote places alone where the trail isnt obvious. Im not sure if I hiked exactly 60 miles because people are saying that the tracking isnt fully accurate. However I only really used this as a nav tool and the stat tracker on Garmin Connect was an added bonus. No cell service and my phone was dead most of the time. I downloaded most of the trails as .GPX route files from all trails. The navigation was fairly accurate vibrating on my wrist when I veered to even 5 ft from the trail. Map is fairly straightforward to use. I had to go on youtube to fully understand the capabilities of the product. I also like that it can estimate the arrival time of the hike and tell you your pace. Navigation still worked when phone was dead and there was no service. Which was crucial when in a large maze of canyons and its pitch black. Very tough product. Accidently put this through a washing machine and still works perfectly fine. I also used Livetrack on this to have friends track me on hikes. However, Livetrack only works when you have cellphone service. But it would have given the search party more data in the event of an emergency. Overall great product and I felt confident going on remote hikes alone with this.
