Garmin 010-02064-00 Instinct, Rugged Outdoor Watch with GPS, Features Glonass and Galileo, Heart Rate Monitoring and 3-Axis Compass, Graphite

Purchased the Garmin Instinct to replace an old running watch and have been surprised at how much they have improved things over the years. First, this thing is extremely comfortable. I have a relatively small bone structure and it fits great, and has plenty of room should your wrist be substantially larger than mine. And it is super easy to use. Paired it up with my smart phone, and then you unlock all of the DATA available to you! Pulse, sleep, steps, and more. Kind of eye opening. Oh, and the battery life is pretty darn good as well. I typically go three or four days before I need to recharge. (Depends on how much you use the GPS, as that can drain the battery substantially more than other activities.) All in all, an excellent watch!

The monochrome display allows for great battery life, which in my opinion is everything youd want in a smartwatch. The mobile notifications are not as versatile as a Wear OS smartwatch, and you do not have the reply by dictation option, but you can set custom preset replies to messages. Everything about this watch just works.

Amazing everything, I am just disappointed in the battery life.

I appreciate its never going to be as accurate as a cheat strap, but its borderline useless for tracking heart rate. Intense sprints on assault bike - heart rate in the 60s? Def would be at least 150/160. Walking up stairs to go to the toilet, over 100.

I loved my first garmin watch. Lasted forever and didn’t really want to switch until this unit came along and I was hooked. Looks great, battery lasts forever, good functions but no touch screen. Worst of all, it would lose connection with my apple products. I’m sorry but I can’t have a product that doesn’t do what it says it will. I wound up getting rid of mine. Unfortunate. Not supposed to go backwards Garmin!

The watch was on sale for almost half price. It is a well build & solid performer. My problem is that it is just too complicated. I cant seem to remember how to operate all of the necessary function that I need when I need it.
