Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

It is as expected, but the entrance is a little small for my leopard gecko. I think he will use it more when I can put the bottom on. (Im waiting for my warm hide to come in so I can get rid of the blue container and use this for the moist hide.)

Exactly what I was looking for in a moist hide for my leopard gecko. He loves it. Got the large size so he had plenty if room to move around.

The quality is very nice however as the other reviews have stated, this is a very small item. If you plan on having geckos to adulthood or breeding purposes, do not get the small, go for the medium or even large. If you put moss or dirt inside the small, it leaves very little room inside for nesting. Not to mention the small cave has a Quarter Size opening, which most leopard or crested geckos heads get that size when big enough to breed. Overall, the small is REALLY SMALL, so for most geckos I would recommend the medium at least.

My medium Exo Terra Gecko Cave came in yesterday. I washed it and placed it into my leopard geckos tank and thats all she wrote! My adult leopard gecko has enjoyed this hide greatly since. Shes a normal, average sized leopard gecko so the medium cave is just fine for her. The opening of the cave could stand to be a little bigger but nonetheless it is well built and sturdy. I made this a humid hide for her as I was using a homemade tupperware one she rarely used. I wanted something that would help her shed better and that she would hopefully use often. The photos speak for themselves!! Great product.

I use this hide for my African Fat Tail. I put sphagnum moss in it and mist it down once a day. He loves it for his humid hide. No issues with shedding.

My African fat-tailed loves this cave! I put coconut fiber and sheet moss in it and he loves to burrow. It’s a great moist hide for him, and it’s spacious enough for him to move around inside. The cave is also super sturdy. Getting this cave was a great choice!

I have 4 leopard geckos living with me (3 of my own and a foster) and I have tried basically every kind of hide/cave out there. All 4 of them absolutely love these caves, I couldnt get the two oldest ones to use any other kind of moist hide but they popped right in to these. Toss in a little wet eco earth and theyre just happy as clams - my youngest one loves to dig in his.

My adult leopard gecko is 17 years old and has refused to use a moist hide his whole life. Last shed was difficult though so I thought Id try once again and buy this instead! Jinx went in, and didnt want to come out haha! There is still hope! He LOVES this thing! Im in shock!! Well done Exo Terra!! I use damp paper towel for the substrate since theres no risk of impaction and spray it everyday. I replace the paper towel every 2 days to keep it very clean since your dealing with moisture. The two holes you see in my photos are where the hide was fastened to the cardboard box but you can just fill the holes with putty like wall tack (its blue or yellow) to help lock in moisture. No biggy! It has some weight to it so your gecko wont tip it over. I was concerned since Jinx has some balance issues and vision difficulties but I can be certain this thing wont tip. I think the Large Cave is perfect for an adult leopard, possibly two. So happy I made the purchase! Thank you Exo Terra! @secretlifeofjinx LOVES it!! ....P.S. the packing was excellent as well! They wrapped the cave in two layers of big bubble wrap!

Really love the product and use it as a moist shedding hide for my sons leopard gecko. Works great and also helps add humidity to the enclosure. Very sturdy and well made product.
