Dell WD15 Monitor Dock 4K with 130W Adapter, USB-C, (450-AFGM, 6GFRT)

Wish it would have lasted longer, it was a big help with my office set up. But after about 2.5 months, it’s stopped working. Tried troubleshooting it and nothing has worked.

Just because a laptop has a type C port doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s compatible with C charging. Therefore, check to make sure your device is compatible with charging through a C port before going all-in on a dock. With that being said, I was able to rig my laptop with this dock and it works great.

Doesnt work with my Insperion Dell. The connector doesnt fit

this device stopped working just as the return window closed. amazon referred me to the Dell website which was no help at all. Do they make access to warranty issues difficult so people wont pursue use of warranties??? Boo on Dell and boo on Amazon.

Purchased a NEW dock, was sent a refurbished one. There are several scratches and dents all over it. The power supply does look new. The HDMI port connects, but occasionally the screen goes blank. I have the identical model of dock at work, so I know it isnt a computer issue, but is this refurbished dock.

I bought this Dell dock to replace the one I borrowed from IT at work. I figured there should be no issues if I order a new, same exact model. Well I was wrong. First, it was not new as described, it did not come in original Dell packaging. Second, I tried to set it up and the power connector from the AC adapter that goes to the docking station is too small. The connector should be a 7.4 mm DC-in power input, and the one I got is about 3.5-4.0 mm. So, no power, no working dock. Returning.

The first one I bought was flaky. I needed to update my PC drivers to make it work though, but thats an issue with my PC, not with the product. After this it would connect and I could get all my devices to connect. Then the cable that connected to my computer started getting flaky and completely died after just under a month. A full power cycle of the device would not fix it. It was unusable. Thankfully Amazon has a replacement policy. Returned the old one and they sent a new one. Plug it up and immediately began working fine. Maybe this one will be better. If I dont update this review, assume its working fine. If I do update, you will see it here.

Even though item came in a sealed oem (not retail) box and was in a sealed plastic bag, it looks like refurb, not new. Device has plenty of fingerprints and some scuffs. HDMI and USB ports work fine, but my laptop did not get powered over usb-c. I know that laptop is capable of being charged through that port since it works fine with different dock. So either power delivery does not work on the unit I received or it is a matter of different incompatible standards, in any case it does not work for me.

This docking station stopped working after 6 months. I never moved it, I would just plug and un-plug my laptop to it and now the wire does not read when connected
