I replaced my 7-year old dying hard drive with this solid-state drive and its just like having a new laptop. I use the laptop to monitor my household expenses and finances, as well as email and some social media. The was definitely a good buy.

My wife has had an all-in-one computer (HP Beats) for about 4 years. It came with a 1 TB Seagate SSD when we bought it. From the beginning it was slow, much slower than my laptop, which was older. Recently we had a power outage and when the power came back on her SDD was fried (computer just came up and said no boot drive). I ordered this drive to replace it. The drive came as scheduled, I put it in (took me less than 5 minutes) and I used a bootable Windows USB to install the OS. Once that was done (and I put Office and some other software on it) I gave it back to my wife and her first comment after using it for about an hour was that it was a LOT faster than before. It now performs like we expected it to when we first bought it, or better.

Amazing, going from a couple Samsung Spinpoint F3 hard drives to this, the difference is night and day. The speed is incredible, really sped up the load times in games. I went from a several minute load time in Killing Floor 2 to a 10 second load time. I purchased frustration free packaging as that was the deal at the moment, and had some concerns about them being returned drives. Upon instillation I ran a program and they had never been used! No data ever written, no boots, no complaints. My favorite thing about SSDs other than the speed, is how quiet they are. Unlike my hard drives, I cant hear it spinning because there are no mechanical parts. At the moment I can recommend these, with a 5 year warranty Im not worried about the future. I just use these as game storage, but ALWAYS back up your important data.

Im already using Crucial disks 300MX and 500MX models since a couple of years now. Never failed me and the price/performance ratio is perfect. If you find on of those on a discount, look no further.

Never want to use anything but Solid State in future. Boots up very fast.

I bought this to replace a 500gig SSD I had in my desktop. I went for the frustration free packaging option, which I would definitely recommend if youre replacing an existing SSD. You just get the drive - thats it.
