Works fine so far. The included imaging software worked perfectly and was able to dupicate my old drives image to the new Crucial SSD in no time at all - and flawlessy.

Wonderful boost of performance! Software (downloaded) from Crucial makes the process simple to migrate your OS to the SSD. You will need to purchase a SATA to USB Adapter to do the transfer and they can be bought from Amazon for around £5 - 7. If you want to mount the drive in your desktop you will need a 2.5 to 3.5 internal adapter, again Amazon have these around £7. The bay kit comes with the necessary SATA cables to utilise your SSD and your Hard drive.

09/20/2018 I play a lot of video games and have had the pleasure of owning multiple computers I built. This year I was lazy and bought a prebuilt from Amazon with not the greatest results. It seemed much better by far than my previous computer on paper. In actuality it was terribly slow and could not perform as well as the previous computer. This was most especially true Playing Ark Survival Evolved. It was playing really slow with horrifically bad frame rates when ever I decided to move or look in a different direction with character. I researched the hell out this. From my limited knowledge and understanding I gathered from the research that I had a really bad memory issue. But did not know if it was ram for motherboard, video card not working correctly and not able to really utilize its capabilities correctly, or my HDD. I do realize for those with more knowledge they would have probably figured this out long ago but I am slow so it took me a while to just get here. Anyways I got frustrated trying to pin down the exact reason due to inconsistent results from tests. I decided to go with the least expensive option after exhausting all free options, and that was a SSD. Particularly this SSD. It was crazy easy to use and to mirror my old HDD. Software was so easy to use. Please do know that if you wish to mirror drive you NEED to have a way to connect the SATA to USB port on computer. I have a Thermaltake Black X 2.5/3.5 SATA HDD eSATA and USB Docking Sation. And it worked really well. It was slower than I hoped for but my dock was only built for USB 2.0 so it was never going to be terribly fast. It took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to mirror 257 gigs. Then when all was done. Turned off computer. Carefully took out HDD with ESD bracelet hoping I would not accidentally fry something, and popped in the new SSD which is the Crucial and it worked wonderfully. No fuss no muss. Turned on Ark Survival it all worked as smooth as butter. Turned graphics to nearly max and still worked wonderfully with only a few frame drops. Man this little SSD was a life saver. Now lets see how long it lasts. If any with the drive goes wrong will post. And if anyone has constructive criticism I will whole heartedly accept because I know I am still a noob lol. SSD acquistata per sostituire un HD da 500gb sul mio HP Pavillon DV6. Devo dire che sono rimasto strabiliato dalla velocità acquisita dal mio notebook sia in fase davvio che durante tutte le fasi di utilizzo. Facilissima da montare. Qualche leggera difficoltà nel reperire il software di clonazione consigliato da Crucial. Non essendo, infatti, riuscito a trovarlo sul loro sito, come da loro indicato, ho provveduto a scaricarlo direttamente da quello del produttore del software tenendo presente che bisogna acquisire quello specifico per Crucial e non quello generico. Bisogna per questo cercare il sito Acronis for Crucial. A parte questa iniziale e minima difficoltà la clonazione avviene in maniera fluida e del tutto autonoma. Finora non posso che assegnare 5 stelle al prodotto.

This arrived very quickly and was easy to copy my laptop to using the software recommended. The performance difference is noticeable immediately, with average start up speeds of around 9-11 seconds.

I use this as a second drive in my Mid-2011 27 iMac and it works so much better than the base drive. I now boot up in about 20sec vs. ~5min and everything opens faster. MMO loading times are also much faster.
