Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT500MX500SSD1(Z)

Bought the Crucial SSD as replacememt of a HDD in my late 2009 IMac. Perfect fit. Could have used a higher capacity SSD. Priced cheaper that Samsungs equivalent with similar fast performance, and it is not a Samsung!

I was looking at expanding my storage in my gaming/content creation rig. My 2TB SSHD from Seagate was beginning to fill up with games and video files, so I began the hunt for a quality SSD. I looked at 3 options: this Crucial MX500, the Samsung 860 evo, and the WD Blue SSD.

Superb SSD - easy to install with free software provided to clone the disk being replaced. I have installed 4 of these drives now, without issue. The increase in speed on the PCs is excellent. Remember that you may need a mounting kit if fitting into a desktop PC and also a USB to SATA cable to copy your data to your new SSD

This was a breeze to install and set up the clone software you use with it took 40 mins about to clone 300 gigs.

The ssd is sturdy and easy to install and the customer support including the available software from Crucial is excellent. I did not receive any incentive to write this report. I highly recommend this product.

If you want to breathe new life into your old Mac/laptop this is a great card to use.

De momento va bien, lo uso poco

Crucial offer disk cloning software from Acronis for free which is so useful. Its the 2015 version but just works. Nice little drive, and I have just cloned my old 256gb drive quite easily. I did have to adjust the partition using Windows native software and Acronis didnt seem to do any more than put the exact size on the new drive. Not a major problem and easily fixed, now I have a load more space as I was getting close to the point where they say SSD drives start to slow down. Good make, I trust Crucial and recommend this wholeheartedly.

Cosa dire, oramai di ssd ce ne sono da perdersi, tra marche note e nuove. Sicuramente, avendone usati molti negli anni, posso dire che a parte il rispettare i dati dichiarati, che non sempre sono veritieri, anche a livello robustezza non ci si puo lamentare. Fino ad oggi, negli anni, non ne ho visto guastarsene uno, e posso assicurarvi di averne montati a centinaia. Buon prodotto e solido.

I wish I had bought this sooner. Had to replace my 1tb hard drive in my Dell all in one and man the computer feels brand new even though it has the Intel i5-6400T processor so its a couple of years old and it brought new life into it and its so quiet. Only complaint is that after I installed it my computer screen kept turning off then back on to whatever I was doing, happened a few times but it stopped now. Going to buy some more to replace the standard hard drives in my other computers
