Not really sure if this works or not. Do I apply this daily? Or just when they itch? Not easy to apply to places like the tail where I have to pour into my hand and then apply. One of my horses is black so this really shows up, my sorrel horse not as much. I will continue to use it with hopes that I will see evidence of reduced itching. But it does smell good.

The pictures are taken 3 days apart and show my gelding before CD and after 3 days of CD. Seriously, this stuff works! This horse is new to me and it is our first summer together. When we had a heat wave hit in June the hives started. The vet prescribed 2 steroid shots. One for the short term and another longer lasting one. It took days for there to be a noticeable difference and then he was mostly hive free for a month. With another heat wave on July the hives came back. I decided to try CD before calling the vet again. There was a tremendous difference in just 24 hours. I don’t know how this stuff works, but it does.

Easy 2 use

I use this on all my horses if skin issue comes up. In Florida, part of life. This is the perfect preventive & paste the perfect healer!

I always have a can of Coat Defense on hand. I mostly use it in the winter after long trail rides to dry the sweat off my horses winter coat before putting his blanket on. It works fast, smells great and leaves his coat soft and shiny when it dries. As the owner of a grey (white) horse I love using it to cover up those stubborn stains that wont lift with stain removers. I treat with a stain remover and then add Coat Defense while the coast is still wet. The Coat Defense covers the stain like grooming chalk. Once the coat is dry and brushed out it seems to help lift the stain underneath. Coat Defense dries with a white residue, I love it for the white horse, not sure if I would appreciate it as much if my horse were bay. Also good in the spring for itchiness from shedding out and bugs.

Have use this product for almost a year it really helped with my horses allergic reaction when he gets an outbreak on his chest his chin.

It’s like dry shampoo for horses, works well for sweating & when you can’t bathe them. I’ve been using for my horse on stall rest this summer, works great !

My horse begs for this stuff! I originally bought it for Rain-rot after sooo many recommended on my Facebook group…and it quickly lived up to its reputation…but now I love it for so much more. I use it to dry sweat when it’s too cold for water or I don’t have time for a hose. I use it under blankets and it keeps him and blanket smelling fresh and yuck free and I use it in boots to prevent rubs and funk. It also stopped itching last summer when he was rubbing himself bald; once the itch calmed his hair grew right back. Also, since I’ve been using I’ve never seen Rainrot come back again…it is a preventative if you use as part of your regular grooming. I’ve used on my own hair and body, too…it fluffs my hair after a ride and dries sweat and odor on me, too. Thank you for this revolutionary product that I will always have on hand; (so glad you made the refill bag)…and now so will the rest of my barn since we all love it and can’t live without it!
