Easy to use, lovely to the touch and soothing to me and my poor horse who is allergic to flies! He gets hyperkeratosis after the allergic reaction to the fly bites, and this stuff is alleviating that issue and allowing new skin and hair to grow in underneath rapidly! Bought this because my horse was having allergy issues. He had hives and then started rubbing his shoulder on anything he could get near. This powder dried everything up and healed his skin without baby scarring. His hair grew back quickly as well

I got this to use on my horse to dry his sweat after rides in the winter. Unfortunately, it did not work for me for that purpose without having to use most of the bottle in 1 use. I can see how it would be useful for rainrot or scratches, but I would only recommend applying to a dry horse to begin with, which isnt always practical. I did use it on my dog to soothe some red itchy areas on his belly and even close up a superficial wound on his tail. He has been licking his paws frequently, so Ive been sprinkling this between his toes and it helps a TON, I love that it is non-toxic if he decides to lick.

My mare had some stubborn rain rot on her flanks and shoulders. This stuff took care of it completely in a week! Definitely recommend!!

I’ve been using coat defense for over a year now. I had tried every product in the world trying to rid my horse of rain rot as he has an compromised immune system. I decided to try Coat Defense and voila, the rain rot started disappearing. Now it’s completely gone and I still use it as a preventative. I also use their salve for little bites, boo boos and it works like a charm. Truly amazing products that I will never be without.

This product is amazing, it works on sweat under saddle so no ice cold rinsing with water needed. His tail was itchy, sprinkled some on and no more itchy tail. I use the paste on nasty bug bite/bumps and its a lifesaver!
