Classical Baby: Im Grown Up Now: The Poetry Show

Such a clever way to introduce poetry. The celebs who read the poems all do a wonderful job.

My grandoughter is a bit too young to understand poetry but she enjoys watching and listening to the kids. I absolutely love seeing the poetry visualized and the children featured in the video are extremly creative, smart and enjoyable to watch.

Watching my granddaughter enjoy the Classical Baby series has been sheer joy for me. I was very disappointed in the Classical Baby Poetry DVD. It did not measure up. My granddaughter did not enjoy it at all.

Wonderful DVD. Beautiful poetry, absolutely charming children talking about poetry, and superior art and animation.

I stumbled across this show on HBO, and instantly my 2 year old twins were mesmorized. I set up my DVR to record the next showing of it, and it has been almost 6 months and they watch it all the time. I have used it as a quiet time tool right before nap time. The commentating by the kids on here are absolutely adorable. Very well thought out and intelectual for their age. Anyway, I love it so much I bought the entire series. We travel a bit, and it helps keep the car atmoshpere mellow. Also, my 10 year old is an avid reader, and she came across a book Hate That Cat that referenced some of the poetry from the show. She was so excited that she knew who William Carlos Williams was and that she knew some of his poems already. The Poetry Show has helped to be a part of something special with all three of my kids. Everyday my kids look forward to the Poetry Show. And all the Classical Baby shows. Highly recommended.

My grandchild will stop everything she is doing when I put this and the other Show titles on the tv! Very entertaining and educational. I like buying something that she gets so much out of!

What a wonderful way to grow a love for the classics in a young child. This is a beautiful DVD, and it makes a wonderful gift. It is perfectly appropriate for the very young child.

I bought this CD for my little granddaughter when she was one year old. She just turned two and this CD still casts a spell over her whenever we put it on! The Swing and How Do I Love Thee? are her favorites, and she can quote several verses from the latter. Gwyneth Paltrow: if you ever read this review, I want you know that there is a little two-year-old girl who thinks you are simply wonderful! Well, of course, she does think you are a Mommy Rabbit!

Love, love these. We had these taped on our DVR from HBO for years and then switched cable systems and lost the shows. I bought these when we had baby #2. Lovely and educational!

We have had the entire Classical Baby series since my daughter was born. Its really good stuff. Educational, artistic, fun to watch and really well done. As an adult, I find myself sucked in every time we watch these. There are four versions. The Poetry Show is with out a doubt the most verbal of the lot with all of the wonderful spoken language brought to life with lovely art work. All four have a calm manner about them, making them perfect for relaxation time or for watching during long car rides. I honestly cant recommend these enough. This is TV you wont feel guilty about letting your kids watch.
