Heres another invention that I should have dreamed up: cross an umbrella with a windshield sun shade to create a better overall product. To use this shade, you simply release and push up the frame on the central rod, as you would with an umbrella. Then, you lock it in place and fit the opened shade up against your windshield. The shade had a snug fit such that I would buy a size smaller if I drove a compact car. Because the sun stayed well-blocked throughout the day, this shade worked better than any other car sun shade I have ever used. It did not slip down or otherwise open a spot for the sun to peek through. The only criticism I could muster was the small size of the carrying case, which was very difficult to reapply after the shade has been deployed. I also wondered how long this product will last, since umbrellas are notoriously short-lived due to all the moving and folding parts that get pushed into place with every use. Despite the drawbacks, I recommend this unique device because it really works well in keeping the car cooler!

This shield works pretty well as far as I can tell and covers the windows of an SVU just fine. I wish it had a top spring so the umbrella could be held open by itself, but it is not a major deal since the car visors hold it up.

Works great and it is pretty cool - love showing my friends - they think it is an umbrella in my car until I show them. I bought additional ones as gifts for my friends. They love it too!

Broke in less then a week .It does not open and close well.Broke right when I stretched it out.

This thing is so poorly made. The concept is great, but it feels like it will definitely break after the first use. Returning because it feels like I really easy way to waste money. This thing is on the verge of breaking after just one use very carefully. Buy something else.

I absolutely love how quick and easy this is to use! It keeps my car sooo much cooler in the summer. If you can open an umbrella, you can use this sun shade. Super convenient. Would actually make a great gift for someone as well!
