I use the car shade for front windshield of auto. It is bulky opening and closing. I have to open door to open and close. The clasp to open is partially hidden in the handle.

Upon receipt, this was exactly what I hoped it would be and fit my 2018 Ford Fusion quite well. However, after only about a week of use, the catch that holds the umbrella open stopped working. I can feel it attempting to catch but it wont hold. Now, the umbrella only sort-of-works. Without the tautness of being held open, there are more gaps around the edges allowing the sun in and allowing the car temperature to rise. This is a bit disappointing since catches holding umbrellas open are common and reliable. Most use a spring clip under the spoke slider which works as long as the slider can be raised above it. But this product appears to use a ball bearing sort of thing that is incorporated into the slider and does not engage its catch-hole strongly enough.

It a great item and after about a year to date mine broke. The metal just snapped. Dont know why the metal part snapped, it was under no stress. But its not a bad product. It does what is advertised, just would have liked more than a year.

They all break. I had a bigger one for my truck and it broke in 3 days. This one Ive had for maybe a month and its braking now to wear its not worth using. The design flaw is the tension you need to keep this up and the slack they give you to work with dont align. So each arm near the top ends up poking out of the fabric. Definitely dont try to go around your mirror.

This item works well with holding the heat out. The only thing I am unhappy with is it broke within 3 weeks have having it. The pin and clip that holds it open came out. Right in the middle of our Texas heat!

I’m only sorry that I didn’t know about this sun shade earlier. It is much easier to use and provides better shading.

The umbrella material does a great job at keeping the heat out, but the clip that keeps the umbrella open and releases to close it broke in less than two months. If that wouldnt have broken, Id be super satisfied.

Already returned one Window shade for my 2018 Tacoma that I was told would fit, was way too big. Tried this as I like how it opened and thought would be easy. Doesnt fit easily around the rear view mirror.

Getting it open is reasonably easy, and it does a really good job of blocking the sun. Getting it closed up to put away is a major pain - it takes longer than any other shade type I have ever used.

While it technically covered most of the windshield of my 2021 F-150, it was a bit tedious to maneuver it into place with the large center cubby forward of the moonroof getting in the way. It feels delicate and I worried about bending it. If these could be made to custom fit, I could probably give it another star. Ill see how it works in my wifes car, but didnt work for me in my truck.
