After several months of use, I just noticed scratches on the hood of my dash display. Please use caution when folding it back up, the metal pieces will cause damage.

I have a 2019 Kia Sorento, works well, super convenient compared to traditional accordion shades. It’s just cheaply made. I had to sew the wire back to the shade, the decretive rim on the handle came off. If you don’t mind that, it’s great!

I bought this recently. At first it seemed alien and uncomfortable to put this in my truck, but I got used to it. Then 2 days ago the “umbrella clip” (the button to open it, which clicks in place when you extend the umbrella) simply stopped clicking in place. Just like that. I didn’t drop it, I took good care of it, and all of the sudden it just broke that way. So now since it doesn’t click it’s just like other aggravating sun covers, but with the additional aggravation of a stick protruding from it. Not that it doesn’t click it’s just a flimsy mess that stays on only by pinching it with my sun visors. So as you can see, I cannot recommend this. It looked like good quality but it broke down on me.

It opens quite easily & fits in the windshield quickly. Folding is fairly easy & the sturdy case accepts the folded screen without a struggle. If it lasts a while it will be a great buy. It is so much more convenient than conventional screens & takes up no more space than an umbrella

Initial Review: Bought this for my husbands car. Only complaint is after use and folding it up, the reflective side is hot (really?) Other than that, he is happy with it. Easy to use and store. EDITED: A month after receiving this item and leaving my initial review I am back to take it down a couple stars. I was in husbands car yesterday when he folded this windshield shade up. I noticed that many of the spokes had come lose from their little pockets and I mentioned it. He told me that he is not as happy with this item for this reason. He feels he has to put it back together every time he used it. He also noted that the exposed spokes were scratching his dashboard. Bottom line I ordered him a different shade & this one will move along to someone else.

I use the car shade for front windshield of auto. It is bulky opening and closing. I have to open door to open and close. The clasp to open is partially hidden in the handle.

Not sure about it being an umbrella to but fits nice in the carry case.

Seriously, measure your windshield before ordering. The listing makes it sound like it fits most vehicles but I drive a civic and my gf drives a mustang and it was too big for either vehicle. I didn’t measure before I bought and that’s on me but this product is hardly universal. That said, if it fits your vehicle, I’m sure it’s great. Seems sturdy and well made

It’s too bad it didn’t fit my vehicle (according to the chart it’s supposed to fit) it is sturdy and easy to use but is too small.

Doesnt stay extended after two weeks. ordered product twice and happened to both items. fails to lock at the apex of the umbrella and will come back down making it harder to set on the windshield
