BLACK+DECKER dustbuster AdvancedClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum (CHV1410L) Blue and White 16 Volt Great: The ON BUTTON STAYS on so you don’t need to press it the whole time while vacuuming Great: Dust and dirt stays sealed inside and DOES NOT blow out of the back Excellent suction for 20 MINUTES 1. NEXT: clean out the dirt: Easily detach the vac unit and seat it onto the CHARGING STATION: the BLUE LIGHT goes on to show charging-even though the dirt container is not attached-- (it seems WOBBLY on the charging station but it is fine) 2. Shake/tap/pull out the dirt from the 3 DIRT TANK pieces (see photo) —it is NOT MESSY—you can do it in the house. Take apart and RINSE off the 3 middle pieces —(SO EASY) and let them dry while the unit re-charges. - Lightweight, and very COMFORTABLE AND BALANCED handheld unit - Built-in crevice tool is always attached and so convenient (and it’s easy to clean) -Perhaps a little noisy I love the convenience of my new vac and have used it several times. I would highly recommend it for the suction and price. Now I’ve used the vac a lot for 2 months--it’s great. I was a little concerned over some of the cons other people wrote—but I am still thrilled: Maybe all cordless lithium battery vacs have the same problems—I don’t know. (I’m wondering if the lower reviews are because the 3 dirt cups are not being fully rinsed and cleaned out. Other reviewers: “The battery seemed less and less effective starting at two months, and now appears to be half as effective as it was when I purchased the vacuum” “After 3 months, this vacuum is no longer appropriate for cleaning upholstery.” One person asked me how to clean the vents--I don’t know the answer--maybe use another vac and suck the back of the machine out? take the machine apart? Maybe somebody knows and can answer.

I bought our vacuum in January of 2018. I am now purchasing a replacement since the battery seems to be dying. It’s lasted over 5 years which is longer than I would have expected a little handheld vacuum to last. We use it multiple times a week for all kinds of reasons, but usually involving cat hair. The inside of the canister can get kind of gross but it is easy to wash. I also buy generic replacement filters. This was a great purchase.

Oh, this beauty is so powerful!!!l Make sure you charge overnight and then you are good to go! Did the whole stairs beautifully - tons of dust and hair were no match for it! I was so tickled by it, I then walked around the rest of my 4000 sq ft home looking for dust bunnies!!!! Get it. You wont regret it!!

My dad just bought a portutif handheld vac for $39.99 for his car. It works fine, but it has a rubber smell, and some parts aren’t made very well. So I bought this one, because I’ve always wanted one, I was jealous that he had one, and I wanted him to see a real handheld vac. I accidentally bought two, so now he has two. If I cared more, I would make a video. The B & D is superior! Yay! And only $10 more. It has better suction, is clearly more sturdy and it doesn’t have any stinky odors. It’s also more convenient because all the attachments are actually attached, so you’re not going to lose them, or need the little bag that comes with the portutif. That being said, my dad’s vac (besides the odor that he can’t seem to smell), is a fine handheld vacuum. It advertises around a 25 min battery charge, but has much longer. The differences in suction is not that much. I prefer the Black & Decker, it doesn’t take too long to charge (I didn’t time it yet) after the battery runs down. And it is very convenient. One little annoyance: it has a place to hang it on the wall, but doesn’t come with the thing to hang it on. Irritating right? Yet my dad’s cheaper one can hang out all day long on the wall, mocking me. I will update with any big developments in my vac’s life. BTW, both vacs are strong enough to suck up a large bug. Neither are strong enough to kill the large bug -that is, if you happen to have a large bug in your home in a hard to reach place. How you handle the live bug in the vacuum is your own business.

Bought this one to replace an older portable vacuum (died after 15 years). It uses electro-magnetic charging where you just place it on the base and it charges. Its a very strong vacuum and surpasses our older one. It uses the non-bag method filtering. It doesnt take long before its time to empty the container. I suggest emptying it sooner than later. Its a pain to empty any of the canister-type vacuums if you let the debris get higher than the full line. Otherwise you will have to use a elongate probe to pull the debris down to be able to remove it. All in all, this vacuum is strong and picks up everything we use it for i.e. cat litter, crumbs, dirt, hair, small food particles etc.

I like the vacuum overall but the first time out of the box the batteries only powered it for 10 minutes after being fully charged. That makes it less useful as a car vacuum since, at least for me, vacuuming my car takes more than 10 minutes. But for most jobs, it will be a great little shop vac but Ive always the need to pull out the full size vacuum every time a little cleanup needs to be done.

I’ve had this vac for several months now and I’m pleased with the performance. I use it mostly for cleaning my car and quick floor cleanups. The battery life has never died and I especially like the table top stand—no more drilling holes in the wall. I also like that the brush attachment and long flat attachment are both on the machine so there’s no need to search for them when needed, you just flip one or the other up.

I find this cordless vac to be pretty impressive with several nice features. It has strong suction and the battery charge lasts a long time. The throat can be easily extended for a greater reach, which is quite handy. I also like the charger set up, where the vac just rests upright in the charger base until its needed. No wall hanger required. The charger is really simple to use, unlike what some reviewers shared. You just sit it down on the charger base and a blue light indicates when it is properly in place to charge. We just keep the charger base pretty much out of sight in a corner beside an end table. Makes it nice and handy for small jobs. Weve owned it a couple of months and found no faults with it so far. Easily rates a 5 at this point in my opinion.
