These headphones are really nice. I have worked in production, broadcasting, recording, and mixing for a long time in my career... and... these are nice. Very nice. I compared them to what I have been using lately (Roland), and they have a much better high end clarity. (maybe a result of the Roland getting old - I am not sure) I am very happy with the sound of these. Nice response. Dont sound muddy or boomy. Good value. Recommended.

sono perfette, non pesano troppo, non scaldano troppo, isolano bene dallambiente circostante ed hanno un suono hifi. Non è vero che sono adatte per un genere musicale specifico, quando io dico hifi intendo che sono in grado di riprodurre alla perfezione qualsiasi genere musicale, dal jazz ... allo zecchino doro. Mi sento di consigliarle vivamente, perchè hanno un rapporto qualità prezzo esagerato. Consiglio vivamente di non sprecarle con un amplificatore scadente. Nel mio caso ad es. (che ascolto esclusivamente dal mio pc) ho installato una buona scheda audio interna (asus xonar D2x). Il risultato è sorprendente. Se non volete spendere una cifra astronomica e avere una cuffia monitor, avete centrato lacquisto.

They sound great to me. I love listening to music and they do the job. I dont generally use these for gaming as I have a dedicated headset for that.

Fantastic pair of headphones

Good sound quality, frequency response is nice and flat. They fold fairy small to fit in the included carrying case. The detachable cable is a nice feature. They were a bit tight on my head at first, but after a while I got used to it and I could wear them for hours with no fatigue.

I feel like Ive never listened to music before. These headphones have changed everything.

I have used Bose inear earphones, Sennheiser momentum inear and the Meze classic inear earphones but none comes close to the sound clarity and sonic depth of the audio Technica m40x. I kept listening to my old songs after the m40x arrived for about a week straight as I was able to hear things I never knew was there in those songs. Its the best headphone in this price range and you can listen to them for hours as they are very comfortable.

Not a audiophile, but these headphones dont sound as rich or full as the M50x. However for the price its something you have to expect.

Very good headphone, bought the pads everyone talks and its comfy and roomy, however I tried the m50x and they sound more clear and powerful to me and it includes a 3ft jack unlike this one, wish I bought the m50x instead but this ones in the time were in a deal.
