Im not a DJ or a recording artist or a sound mixer or any of those fancy people that these headphones are made for. I have misophonia and the sound of my friends, family and mostly co-workers eating makes me homicidal. Rather than kill people, I put headphones on to drown own the sound of their lip smacking. I had been borrowing a really expensive pair of BEATS by Dr. Dre from my friend, they were these fancy noise canceling things that were battery powered (which was irritating because if I forgot to turn them off theyd die overnight). Anyway, I did not want to pay $350.00 + for head phones. Also because two other pairs of BEATS broke on the headband and that should absolutely NOT happen when you pay that much for headphones.

Not a fan of these ones. Ive been looking forward to buying a AT headphone for a long time. But honestly I rather spend above $100 than put up with these lack luster cans. I agree they are very nuetral in low, mids, and highs but even with a DAC/AMP I was getting poping and other audio flaws that should just not be present at all. Ive had better knock offs in the $30s that sound better than these. Very limited soundstage and just frankly boring.

Great headphones for mixing and monitoring audio. The bass is not emphasized like on the M50x but still has a nice solid punch with clean mids.

Ich muss von vorneherein sagen, dass die ATH-M40x für unter 100$ ein echtes Schnäppchen sind.
