Well, Asus has done it again. When I realized that my 6-year-old Asus ROG laptop was struggling with the latest programs, I knew it was time to upgrade and let the old system just handle day-to-day work. The lack of camera in this laptop and the smaller size did put me off a little bit, but I saw the specs, price, and brand and gave it a shot.

Perfect Laptop

I got the i9-13980hx with the RTX 4070 version.

I’ve been using the laptop since March and I can happily report that I have never had an issue with it. It was meant to be used as a desktop laptop since it is pretty heavy to travel with. Not that you couldn’t travel with it, but it would be too heavy for me to lug around. The laptop is on for over 8 hours a day and I never had an issue with it. It is the perfect laptop for work and play. The hubby does all the gaming on it and has absolutely no complaints. The display quality is amazing and I love the RGB lighting while I work at 5am. The happy colors are appreciated. I keep it elevated on a laptop stand with holes to let it breath so it doesn’t overheat and last me a VERY LONG time! I would have loved more USB ports, but that’s ok. It’s a beast for playing games so if youre a gamer you’re going to love it! I’m not going to get geeky and relist everything it has as you can see it for yourself in the description. Don’t waste your money on brand name laptops, this beast can run with the big boys!

First, Ill just tell you that, yes, this computer is incredibly awesome. Then Im going to nitpick it as much as I can just to give you an honest perspective and hopefully some details you havent already figured out.

As you can see in the picture I have included, the end that goes into the charging brick does not fully go in. Moving it around will disconnect your laptop from charging. I have had this laptop for 7 months and dont get me wrong I love the laptop is just the charging brick. Either I have gotten a faulty charging brick or Asus needs to recheck there items.

I needed a laptop to plug into my worksation (in which I also game at ultra wide 1440p) and after comparing laptops for weeks I found that this one has the best performace to price relation (I bought it for $2,049~).

I gave it a 4 out 5 rating because of price and battery life while gaming. If you plan on gaming, which its a gaming laptop, I would strongly suggest to leave it plugged in. Battery life is shorted than I expected.
