I had concerns about Linux support for the sound and network chips on this board. However, Fedora 33 & 34 supported the sound and network without issue. I believe it was briefly running kernel 5.8 under Fedora 33 and is now running kernel 5.11 under Fedora 34. Ive not noticed any network issues and the sound card seems to be a huge improvement over the sound card in the Dell XPS 8920 this is replacing. Only been using it for a few days, but pleased so far. If I run into issues, Ill update this review.

Awesome motherboard that has all the features you would want from a B550 board. Memory ran at its stated overclock on it, and have had no major issues after updating the BIOS.

EtherNet port wouldnt even work out the box , thats the reason why i went with the easy internet access instead of wifi version and it didnt even work, THEN GPU release plastic Lever is so hard and cheap , it got stuck so this part ended up braking off, ALL LOOKs ,Went with MsI and going on Ebay instead of Here, maybe that will help next time

Honestly so far so good this board came in early for me had no problems the bored looks perfect and much more solid than my last bored would very much recommend ppl to purchase but if you have a bit more money I would go with the wireless Wi-Fi

The Asus ROG STRIX B550-F comes with plenty of I/O ports for the majority of gamers. There is also a good amount of fan headers which is nice for my case since it has a lot of fan space. The only RGB is the logo, but I’m fine with it since I’m not looking for anything special.
