> 3 dayThis item was purchased brand new about two months ago and now, it doesnt work properly. The screen is dark and the power button on the left side of the Chromebook is lit and will not shut off. I cant use it at the moment and I am not certain how long this problem will persist and/or if the problem can even be fixed.

Greater than one weekThe display is excellent , the touchpad is very responsive and I love the backlit keyboard. I had originally purchased an HP Chromebook but found the display had little or no contrast and there was no backlit keyboard. I tend to be up very early in the morning and could not see the keyboard on the HP. With the ASUS everything shines. I was a little hesitant to swich from a Windows based laptop to a Chromebook but the transition has been flawless so far. This is lightweight and blazing fast. Love it.

> 3 dayUpdate: neither the seller nor manufacturer are taking responsibility for this defective product. Amazon’s A to Z guarantee apparently doesn’t cover defective products, unless the defective is identified within 30 days of initial transaction, so they haven’t been helpful either. I guess I’m out of luck for $275.

> 3 dayI purchased this for personal use after my laptop bit it. Its been great for my non-work needs (primarily working in Google docs, streaming). The only issue I have is the light under the keyboard is extremely dim and so its hard to see which keys youre hitting at times. I purchased a keyboard cover for this reason.

> 3 dayWe bought this Chromebook for our son to use at school, and it served him well until last week, when several keys stopped working. Attempted to troubleshoot and tried reinstalling Chrome, which, as it turns out, is difficult to do when you cant connect to your wifi because the keyboard doesnt work. Very disappointed.

> 3 dayBlazing fast on the internet. Not a suitable substitute for a laptop.

> 3 dayFirst off the bat, the audio is nearly useless without the Ears, plug-in for Chrome, which allows you to EQ and boost the volume to a suitable level for content consumption.

> 3 dayMy old Dell laptop was nearing the end of its life. Slow, sluggish and the battery would no longer hold a charge. I decided to look into Chromebooks and give one a try. Ive used other ASUS products and was pleased, so I had confidence their Chromebook would be a good one...and it is. So far everything about it works perfectly and the more I get used to it the better I like it. The keyboard is responsive, I can hook up a remote mouse, which I prefer, and on the occasions where I use it as a touch-screen pad instead of a coputer, it seems to work well. All in all Im pleased and recommend this product.
