Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

Arctic Silver is probably the best heat conducting paste available. Any person who repairs or builds computers should have a tube of this on their work bench. When I am installing a new new heat sink on a computer, I discard the heat conducting paste provided by the heat sink manufacturer and use this stuff. For best results, it is necessary to make sure that the contact surfaces are perfectly clean. A paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol works well for this purpose. You just need to make sure the components are perfectly dry before applying the Arctic Silver and assembling the components. Also it is important to use the correct amount of paste. Some people tend to cake it on. If for example the heat sink contact area is about the size of a postage stamp, you only need to use the amount of paste equivalent to a large water drop. Properly applied, this tube will last for several computer repairs/builds.

I swear by this brand of thermal paste. I believe that it is superior to other brands. Some of that belief has to do with data Ive looked at, but much of it is because this is the product that seems to be preferred in the computer repair field. I use it on a regular basis to replace or do maintenance on processors and it always seems to perform quite well.

It does what its supposed to do. Goes on thick and has to be spread out with a glove (I just stick a sandwich bag over my hand), Ive never had a cpu fail that I was using it with.

Enough for several CPUs. Easy to use. Great thermal conductivity. This is the gold standard in thermal compounds for CPU heatsinks.

i was going to go cheap on a thermal paste, but for about $2 more I just got this one. This thing was shipped to me fast and before the delivery time window. When I applied it to my processor and started up my computer the temp was a lot cooler compared to that stock thermal paste that was included.

I bought a different from a local electronic store. It gave me a headache. But after I bought this one and applied it on, miracle happens! my computer finally stopped yelling at me. Great product, recomend to everyone .
