PRODUCT WAS GREAT. SOME PROBLEM ABOUT SHIPPER.

Bought this for use during motherboard replacement on Dell Latitude D630 laptop. Worked great. Follow the instructions for applying to your specific CPU chip. Havent done rigorous temp measurements to verify manufacturers heat transfer claims, but did install a couple of monitoring utilities on the laptop. Monitored for a few days after the repair and the CPU and video chip temps have remained well within safe limits.

A lasting version of the package originals, both do the work just fine.

Searched the Arctic Silver how-to page and learned that a horizontal strip of paste is optimum for my particular processor. Did that and have not had any problems on the 2 processors I applied it on.

Great product, cools super well. I have even used this for non computer applications (car components with heatsinks) and it works terrific. I do have to say though that with HIGH temp uses (laptops especially) that reach 60c on a regular basis youll need to change the paste once a year or the temperatures will suffer. It does dry out and doesnt stay goopy when its exposed to extreme heat like that, but I doubt anything will.

Artic silver is amazing. Having used off brands before, Ive seen massive difference in temp by switching a few of my laptops to artic silver.
