Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

Easily the best thermal paste you can get, and at an excellent price too! No mess application (meaning no gooey liquid, just thermal paste for days) and helped drop my G3258 at least 2 degrees Celsius. Paired with my Hyper 212 Evo, I removed the thermal goop that came with the cooling device (worked for the time, not very good though) and applied a pea sized dab of the Arctic Silver. Burned in the new goop for a couple hours with stress testing and all is good!

my ps3 got ylod (yellowlightofdeath) and i had to do something about it, so i decided to try and fix it on my own, i ordered this arctic silver 5 since i heard this was the better type of thermal compound to use, i dont know much about all this stuff, but i opened it and reflowed the soder on the gpu and cpu and applied the thermal compound, its been about 1 month since then and my ps3 is working like a champ, ive been watching showes all day and playing oblivion and skyrim and the ps3s fan barley even runs hard like hardley ever so this stuff is prolly pretty damn good lol over all it worked awesome for me

As some other people have mentioned, you get a tube in a plastic baggie which isnt retail packaging. Besides that, this paste doesnt behave like Arctic Silver should. I last repasted my CPU about 10 months ago with whatever this is, and had to repaste it again today because the paste had completely dried crusty and temps were getting hot.
