> 3 dayWhile not as fast as the 5800x, the 3800x is still very quick, and is less finicky with power configurations and temperatures. Overall, at stock PB2 (no-PBO), using the stock wraith-prism cooler, this CPU will chug along at 4.12Ghz all-core clock with all-cores loaded, 24/7, without even pushing the fans hard (thus the advantage of a part binned for 3.9Ghz). Compared to my 5950x, with its required fancy AIO 360mm cooler, and constant pump and fan profile switching that’s needed to keep temps in the sweet-spot to maximize PBO (for sustained 4.2+ Ghz all-cores) this 3800x is simply fire and forget at stock settings. For running overnight batched workloads and background server tasks, it’s a great CPU, when coupled with a good board, because you get a lot of performance with nearly zero tweaking (or fancy cooling).

> 3 dayIf you only care bout gaming, then this CPU is not a good value for you. Intel has better gaming performance cheaper, and even AMDs new lower spec chips will outperform it at a lower price.

Greater than one weekFor the extra money its not really worth getting this over the 3700x, multiple sites said I could use this with my old b350 mobo but even after bios updates it wouldnt boot. I bought a 550f mobo and it pairs great with my 5700xt. Too much money. Go with the 3700x not worth the extra money for 200mhz difference

> 3 dayA beast. Make sure your BIOS is updated to support the zen.2. Update your chipset to ensure you can enable the Ryzen Power Plan in windows and you’re good to go! Have the EZ Tune feature enabled in BIOs, not overclocked and this thing just runs beautifully. Value for money, it’s the best processor out right now.

Greater than one weekI am in IT since 2000 and I was always a intel Fan boy, but I have to give a try to Amd Ryzen and this cpu is a blast. For your $ to performance there is no way to hesitate go AMD. I am sorry but Intel need to improve them cpu, and intel never do any discount on them overpriced cpu.

> 3 dayCostando solo una ventina di euro in più rispetto al 3700X, questo 3800X è un must buy. Processore micidiale, 8 core, 16 thread, per una work station è lideale, senza però sacrificare anche le performance di gaming. Come mio primo processore AMD sono davvero rimasto colpito. Ho fatto qualche test e benchmark per dare un occhiata alle temperature:
