Nice bump in performance over a 3600, roughly 500 more points in Cinebench. Also faster in games, as the burst speed is higher. I wouldnt purchase this for overclocking, as higher quality parts will probably be binned as XT.

I received a faulty AMD Rysen 2700 not a 3800x. The box had been opened but everything had been meticulously put back/cleaned up. I was too excited to notice the missing tamper proof stickers missing etc. My build took longer to put together then expected, life getting in the way etc. By the time I figured what the issue was the return window had passed.

The CPU has worked pretty much flawlessly since I bought it and I love the fact that it came with a air cooler with it

This is basically a better version of the 3700X. Better clock speeds and higher silicon quality. However I would only recommend getting it over the 3700X if you can get it at $340. The base price of $400 just isnt worth it.

I cannot recommend this because of this issue. I got absolutely horrible errors when trying to use my 3080 with PCIe 4.0 (flickering, low refresh rate, GPU not recognized by the system, etc.) I spent around 8 hours trying to fix the issue before giving up. Upon replacing the processor, however, PCIe 4.0 works perfectly fine. Glad I didnt try to RMA my motherboard or GPU. That wouldve been awful.

The first one I ordered was a DOA, but they sent me a replacement free of the charge that arrived the very next day, and that one worked perfectly. At first I was worried about the stock cooler, cause the last time I upgraded my CPU was back in 13 and back then stock coolers that could be used for gaming were just not a thing, but after installing the Wraith Prism cooler, I was amazed to see that it only had a 10C higher resting temp than my old H80i liquid cooler. Heck, it doesnt even make any noise, its crazy; I thought the fan wasnt working and had to check to make sure cause it was so quiet. Plus it even has easily customizable RGB LEDs, and the software is actually decent. Really, Im amazed by this stock cooler... but the CPU itself is great too!

I liked its performance and price good for all tasks gaming video editing and much more
