> 3 dayThis thin laptop is a beast and weighs near nothing. Yes it can get warm while gaming, thats kind of obvious not sure why people are complaining about that when its meant for gaming/thin/a laptop. Ive plugged it into my 2560 curved monitor and it held its own like a desktop. Overall in love with this thing and hope it has some longevity in it! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayTake it from someone who had been lugging around an Acer Predator Helios 300 for the past couple years prior to picking this up: Youre gonna love the light, slim and sleek design of the Triton 500. Im in love with this machine, and if youre predisposed to liking/loving the Acers Predator line of products, you will love it too. If you inherently do not like them, I wont be able to say anything to change your mind, as they far from revolutionary--but priced to actually afford. Ive been using this Triton model for about two months and have been having some of the best gaming experiences of my life, which is not always easy when you have to be on the go as much as I am (traveling weekly for work). Buy with confidence; Acer has a winning gaming laptop on their hands here.

> 3 dayYeah, thats it. WOW! This is a great laptop/desktop replacement. I have used it with an attached monitor, and with its own native screen. That screen is bright and responsive and with the included high end CPU and GPU, games play great.

> 3 dayFirst off, the battery life doesnt last at all. Maybe 40min off of the charger. The LEDs broke after 3 weeks (i took good care of the laptop). It overheats running anything when plugged in. So either it dies or overheats.

> 3 dayMy previously purchased gaming laptop was an Alienware 17R3, bought a few years back. Over the years, its progressively gotten slower, and has left me wondering if all of those disparaging comments about Alienware post-Dell-buyout werent true. This Acer system makes me belive those comments even more.

Greater than one weekIf you purchase this laptop DO NOT use it on your lap or on a soft plastic surface. I had two and they both had the same heat problem. The bottom of the laptop would become way to hot to even touch and it would heat up very easy and quickly. you could of course run it on turbo and this would reduce some felt heat but be advised turbo is very loud. I am quite sure the bottom would get hot enough to melt soft plastic. At 61c or 141.8f a burn can happen in seconds. I love acer, i use a acer swift1 it has lasted me for years with abuse and its what im writing this review on. I cannot recommend the acer predator triton 500 knowing the risk associated with it.

> 3 dayI replaced my desktop with this as i travel for work a ton. well coming from a 1080ti to a 3080ti i thought it was be a massive increase in my whole existence. tbh it wasnt. laptop runs very loud and hot when gaming. if you need something small and portable it is a solid laptop for sure and ive been playing everything just fine. it auto sets everything to the highest settings but i usually try and turn stuff down to keep my laptop from combusting.
