I have a lot to say about this laptop, but I will try to make it brief. For starters, I would like to say that I have had this laptop for a week now and I upgraded from a 6 year old ASUS with a 4th Gen Intel 17-4500U and a Nvidia 745M. It was a very good laptop and I still use it for school work. But this thing blows it out of the water! I love this laptop, and im sure if you are a casual/intermediate gamer like me you will love it too.

I am used to a large screen but this one has very nice graphics. It is very fast, intuitive, and lightweight. I love the light-up keyboard and over-all smart looks.

I mean it runs most games quite well, it only runs into a few small issues here and there when it comes to FPS shooters. Mostly the ability to maintain a 144hz speed especially within Siege. Besides that aspect for games of simply personal use like Monster Hunter, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc. its quite fine. Also my only real con is the aspect of not having a hdd and having a closed up ethernet port (you need to pull on the plastic cover-ish to put the ethernet cable in. HDD issue can be resolved easily simply buying the HDD as I did which should be somewhere linked with this purchase and opening the back and simply placing it there with the mounting though take caution as some spaces are hard to get to and you might drop a screw into the pc itself.

The cpu is not overclockable, it states that the CPU can be boosted but its not possible. Update 2022: I bought this back in August 2019 and it was an OK laptop, but a few months ago it overheated for some reason and died. Also the battery dies way too quickly.

Based on personal experience I think the claims of this laptop being hot to the touch may be a little exaggerated. I ran games on it the first day I had it without a cooling pad just to see how hot it would get. It was very warm, yes, but not as bad as I expected. In addition, I did order a cooling pad to go with it because it is a gaming laptop, duh. Add the cooling pad to the mix, what heat?

Couldn’t be happier with the performance to price ratio. Got this to play Apex legends and runs smooth
