This laptop has way surpassed my expectations. Provided it is an expensive laptop, its been better than I hoped. It can keep up with some builds that are thousands. However, it does get very hot. To counter this, ive used Intel XTU and undervolted it, and used custom fan settings on the predator sense. If you decide to use XTU do some research. Overall great laptop

This arrived with a dead pixel on my display and left clicking with the touch pad wasnt always responsive. At $899 (prime) this wasnt a terrible deal as it has a 144hz display and 16gb of ram, but I was able to snag a Dell G3 for $735 + tax that came with a free $150 visa gift card. (9th gen i5, 1660TI gpu, twice as much SSD storage, 8gb RAM, 60hz). Ill be using the $150 gift card to upgrade the G3 to 16gb of RAM and replace the 60hz display with a 120hz, which, in my opinion, makes the G3 a much better value-buy versus last gens Helios 300.

Good Laptop but gets very hot and thermal throttles when gaming. Temps range from 90 to 98 degrees celcius and causes my games to drop frames intermittently. Had to use throttle stop to help with throttling. Cpu runs very fast and smooth. Gpu is not the greatest but decent enough to run my editing softwares and play casual games on medium to high settings.

If it werent for the overheating issues, it would be a fantastic laptop.

This computer can run games really smoothly and they look great, especially the resolution and 144 hrz monitor. but sadly, this pile of garbage is a glorified paper weight and runs EVEN MINECRAFT and GARRYS MOD super hot. once it gets up there in temperature which, even when the fans are set to max with coolboost on, the whole thing slows to a snails pace. this actually worthless (for gaming) computer is only good for the most casual of web browsing. it has a horrible cooling system, and the screen also bugs out every now and then. overall, this is not even worth 200 let alone the THOUSAND spent on it.

It is my first laptop and i must say it works perfectly great. I love it.

Working well, but only need to work on overheating on how to minimize when you play games.

I was on the fence with this or a similar laptop with a 60hz screen and ultimately decided to go with this. Best decision ever! The screen quality is so crisp, wifi signal is stronger than any device I own and it runs every game I own from league of legends to skyrim with high resolution mods with no frame drops!

I would have liked having a gaming laptop that could actually run league with out thermal throttling so as to make it unplayable. Everyone else seems to loves this laptop but I will never buy from acer again.
