Zoo Med Hermit Soil Coconut Fiber Brick 650g

It really expands and makes a lot. I think it is a good product to add to my Hermit Crab habitat. Kind of messy but I would buy it again.

It’s a bit messy to prepare. The hermit crabs like digging around in it.

Use this for my hamsters to dig in! They love it and it’s enough for 3 giant dog bowls full (what I use for them to dig in) have already purchased again.

Do not buy. The fibers never dried enough and developed mold we didn’t see. The hermit crabs got sick quickly and died. I have always bought the bagged coconut fiber prior. 2 hermit crabs No longer with us...and 2 sad kids ...

Its a lot of fiber! It takes a while to break it down and dry it out and it can be messy if you havent used it before, but its a perfect product!

It came open an has a horrible smell

Seriously though, good bedding!

My first reaction was that this smelled weird. My second was that it holds the perfect amount of moisture, so that my crabs stay healthy and pinching. My third reaction was snickering when i read the last two sentences.

I only used very little to fill up an aquarium. You add water and it expands. I still have a whole bucket left and I ordered this 3 months ago
