The log is very big but it is wonderful, my turtle has house of fun on his log, he loves to go through it and sun bathe on top of it and go through the hole, I have had it for almost 3 months and it is the best thing I got him. It doesnt leave much room for my fish so I had to put them in another tank but it is wonderful for my turtle.

I bought this for my baby map turtle. He has quickly grown to 4”-5” from top of shell to bottom. The log itself is really stable and floats above water nice. The problem itself seems to be large turtles and the logs floatation. My log lost buoyancy after a few months and took in water. I already added the plastic packaging styrofoam type of material inside the log to raise it higher in the water. To lift it higher I added a thicker layer of some packing foam I had saved prior and conveniently black in color. I also solved the problem of the log floating around by adding a zoo-med magnet with line tied around one of its holes to the inside magnet clip. This works perfect. My set up is actually under my YouTube channel: JJLTX

Great for water turtles, will not spin and floats well, They are not very big, a large works well in a 20 gallon long tank

This is just perfect for our turtles. They both bask on it, while the shier one likes to hide inside the log. I do have a concern, based on the more negative reviews, that as he grows the hollow will become a problem rather than an attribute, but right now there is no problem. I have to admit that the way it floats to and from around the tank can irritate me, but the turtles really do like it, and it is their tank. Adds a nice rutic, natural element to the tank.

We have a pond but no turtles. I bought this for the frogs to sit on and they love it.

I have 2 grown red eared sliders and neither of them has paid much attention to the log since I put it in their pond a couple weeks ago. They seem to like the stationary platform I made better but the log looks good in the pond anyway, so its not a total loss.

We bought this for our 2 water turtles who are now about 4-5 in diameter. They love to get in it, and poke their heads out the holes. We find them in it, more than on top of it. But, they really seem to like that they have a place to hide, but keep their heads above water. Floats well, and doesnt spin over. Ours did not have a suction cups, and no obvious way to attach to aquarium, so it is free floating.

good thing is it does float, bad thing is my turtles has never once climb on it at all. However, the fishes love it as they gather underneath it a lot, its not entirely useless, so I guess it still works out for me.

I have two of them tied together to make an island for my water turtle, he loves it. He can enjoy the sunshine without being bothered by any other animals.

I use it in an outdoors pond, lasts a long time although it will lose some color. It will break if you drop it on the ground, dont ask me how I know.. Good for 1 medium turtle or several small/baby turtles.
