Zoo Med Floating Turtle Log

My 5 aquatic turtle loves this log. He basks on top of it, moves it around his habitat, and hides from his pet goldfish inside it. Sometimes hes inside for hours with his neck stretched out the sidehole so the tip of his snout reaches fresh air. He stands under it and pushes it around the habitat, and positions it sometimes so the fish cant bother him. Ive had this log for my turtle for over 2 years and just love it. Its easy to clean and my turtle is the right size that he doesnt get stuck. I will report back if he outgrows it but for now hes been totally fine.

It did come with a lot of styrofoam pieces that were easily washed off and a VERY sharp spike area coming out of the edge of a hole that was easily broken off to make it safe. Manufacturing flaw on this particular one I’m sure. It is floating just fine in our 600 gallon pond. Looks like it would fit one adult yellow belly and two if they like each other that much!

Our turtle likes it. And uses it to bask. These things come in different sizes, so make sure that you order one that is a good size for your turtle.

Floats and looks real.

I don’t have a turtle, but I bought this for my garter snakes. They love it! It serves as a hide and a basking spot under their lamp. I see them curled up on it all the time.
