Zoo Med Desert UVB & Heat Lighting Dual Kit, 100 Watt

I had bought 3 of these and all 3 went out anywhere from a few days to a month. I would have to try and wiggle the chords and they would come on after a few tries, or just flicker and go back out. I have the ceramic heat bulbs and I didnt know they had gone out one day till my beardy started acting different...the switches were ON, but were just dead. So much money wasted. I got mine from a pet store and they wouldnt take them back because it was just passed 30 days before I was able to take them back. I do not recommend this product.

The product is convenient, but the heat bulb’s filament popped within 8 hours of use. That negated any savings of buying the package

Bought this as a supplemental light and heat source for my bearded dragon. The uvb bulb is quite dim, and only provides uvb light up to 8 inches from the bulb in this fixture according to the instructions included. Thinking this might be ok for short tanks or directly above her hammock I checked the heat lamp at 9 inches and in under 5 minutes reached over 150 degrees, topping out at over 160 degrees in under 10 minutes. That means in order to get any benefit from the uvb bulb you have to totally cook your pet, or to put the heat lamp at proper distance you wont get ANY uvb at all. Thats awful. As mentioned, these are 100watt fixtures, not 160watts. They seem sturdy, but arent as advertised. One would do better buying better, properly matched bulbs and correctly advertised fixtures instead of this combo, making sure your fixture you use can handle the power requirements of the bulbs you choose. The heat bulb lasted 3 months on 12 hours per day.

Great product, comes with both bulbs. However, the small UVB bulb might not be enough for scaly friend. I purchased this as a temporary set up, later will be purchasing the UVB rod from the same brand. Both bulbs functioned well and has separate connections.

Good lamp and source for my baby bearded dragons however, I woke up this morning to a dead heat lamp and sad animals. These are supposed to last a year..., right?

One of the bulbs were too big for the lamp. Would be okay if you have a stand but I prefer mine to sit on top of the terrarium. Mini is an accurate description.

Its is the perfect size ... Easy to set.up the.light bulbs are.included. i mean its.all right there.

I would give this 5 stars if the included heating bulb was a little larger. The included UVB bulb is... OK, take note of its size however, as its about the largest you can fit in this hood. The hood itself is great, however does not come with a hanging bracket, so must be placed directly on top of your screen lid. I own about a half dozen of these hoods, some of which have been going for over a decade happily. Good reliable product.

We used these dual lights for our baby bearded lizard. It works absolutely wonderful and keeps Allie nice and warm like shes supposed to be!
