When new I noticed some of the products metal mesh screen was broken in a few spots. If Im not paying attention and run my hand across the top of the screen it will jab me occasionally and draw a little blood. It wasnt worth returning, but probably wouldnt by another one online.

Fits great but be aware that it doesnt latch in any way

I used four clips to hold it in place as corn snakes are escape artists. Perfect fit with easy access door.

Purchased this for my iguana tank. Fit perfectly and is snug too. This is a great item for the price. Arrived fast too. Would recommend it.

Well made and keeps my cats away from my turtles. Two 14lbs cats can sit on top and it doesnt bend or break! Great quality. Love the feeding door!

As a licensed wildlife rehabilitator I end up with a lot of baby rats. Since they chew out of cardboard and plastic, a glass aquarium is the only safe home for them. This top allows me to keep the top on, just open the small door and be able to check on them, change food and water and not let them loose! It is well worth the money to protect both them and us!

The screen cover itself seems sturdy and fits well- 5 stars. But the door and latch are flimsy, cheap, and not suitable for snakes. One- the latching piece hits the top edge of the tank, and cannot be completely latched with the cover on the tank. Off the tank, it works, but…., Two- one latch in the center of a flimsy door? Whoever designed this has never had snakes. It’s way too easy to push one corner up far enough for a snake to get his head through- and if he gets his head through, he’s gone. My corn snakes have gotten out this way. There has to be a latch at each corner, or the door has to be stiff enough so that it can’t twist. A heavy weight over the door might work too, but that pretty much defeats the convenience of having the door there at all. UPDATE- Theres an easy fix. Bend the door up slightly at the center so the latch is slightly preloaded. The latch works much better, and the corners of the door won’t lift up. No more escapes!

This was the same price as a screen without the door. The door is so extremely useful. I have a water turtle that I have to feed each day and we keep two lamps on top of the screen. It was such a hassle to remove the screen each time and then make sure the filter cord was in place correctly. Now, we just lift the screen and done! Great price, as it was the same as buying without the handy door and shipping was fast. Would recommend to anyone that needs to remove the screen regularly.
