The Western Digital Blue NMVE SSDs are well work their value. They are perfect for any needs. The premium you pay for high end SSDs wasnt necessary for an everyday (non-gamer) system so the WD Blue was the right choice for a non-gamer system. System Boots windows 10 in 15 seconds from push button to logged on. Installed in a Dell Inspiron 7472 Laptop. Note: You get a 10-year license for Western Digitals limited version of Acronis True Image including ability to boot and do clones but it requires a WD drive to be connected to the PC in order to use the clone feature. You do have to download this software from WD site and install it on a PC in order to create the bootable cloning tool.

I thought for sure a WD blue or black drive would be perfectly fine and trustworthy to have a dram cache. Not only is this drive dram cashless, but the 500gb model only has 1 single nand chip on it. I will be sure to not blindly trust a company based on past performances. Seems ever since they purchased SanDisk... Things have gone downhill somewhat. Drive tested well enough when mostly empty, but cant even imagine how poorly it would be once it fills up more. Makes this no different than a cheap name drive.

It works most of the time. Just make sure to locate it in disk manager.

One of my first experiences when it came to using a SSD drive, and personally when it comes to programs used daily and my operating system, Ill never go back to using a hard disk for those again. Filled up my first SSD so got an additional one for my system as well for a backup drive.

I bought my 2TB SN570 to use as a backup drive for my Mac Studio, inside an OWC Envoy Express Thunderbolt3 enclosure and using Carbon Copy Cloner as the backup software. In the first run, it completed backing up 732GB of data in 10m, or 1.2GBps true write rate, with sustained rates of 1.4GBps. This is real-world performance, not from a synthetic benchmark that can be games by SLC cache, and the enclosure itself is rated at 1.5GBps max. Color me impressed.
