> 3 dayI got this for my PS5 since, if you are a Call of Duty player, theres no room for other games and updates. This 1TB drive was as easy as taking off the side cover of the PS5 undoing 2 screws and plugging it in. When you turn on your PS5 it will ask you to format and dedicate games to that storage and youre done. I have had it for 3 months now and have had no problems.

> 3 dayFist of all, I’m not a tech guy, and I don’t normally open my game systems for any reason. After watching a video, it was very easy to not only install, but to format and use. Took me less than 3 min to install. Though the price is more than an external, I wanted an internal drive. Games load and run flawlessly from the drive. I did use the cover over the drive, and the console does reside in a cabinet that is well ventilated(mesh front door, and a couple of usb fans in back of cabinet). I’ve played long enough to have to switch controllers twice due to battery low in one setting and never has my PS5 overheated. Bottom line; little more expensive than an external HD, but works very well, doesn’t take up a usb slot and load speeds are extremely fast. Again, I don’t have clocked speeds or thermal information, I’m just a gamer who started in 1979 with an Atari 2600. Would buy again with what I know now.

> 3 dayI guess my question is….why? Why are we forced to buy these products? For the price tag of the PlayStation 5, coming pre-loaded with 825gb, a quarter of which is taken up by the actual system files, why was it not given at least 1TB+?

> 3 daySaw someone post this item on a FB Dad gaming group. Tired of constantly deleting/re-installing games on PS5, I decided to take the leap and get this additional storage. Pop off the outlet cover and screw, insert storage replace screws and cover, turn on PS5, choose format, and you’re off to the wonderful world enough PS5 storage. If you have the means, get the 2TB option to basically never run out of room again.
