This SSD was so easy to install that I swore that I was doing something wrong. I watched 1 video of someone installing on and went right to it. The hardest part was taking off the cover of the PS5, and that was even easy. I got the 2TB version and it works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this SSD.

I didn’t realize, when I ordered it, that it has a customizable rgb light if you get the one with the heat sink. You’ll want to download wd_black Dashboard to choose the color and pattern.

I admit, I bought this on sale, and I certainly cant complain about the value, the capacity, or the functionality. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because after I installed it into my PS5, the PS5 did a speed check and the data transfer speed was approximately 15% slower than The manufacturers specifications. That having been said, it is still far superior to the external drives I was using previously. If you are buying this for a PS5, be sure to watch some YouTube videos on how to install it. It wasnt difficult, but watching the videos prevented me from making a couple of errors that I would have made which would have damaged either the card or the console.

No brainer install.

Aside from the price I paid, this is amazing. Overall Id give it 5 stars. It adds enough storage to my PS5 that I dont have to constantly delete and re-download stuff. Its one of the easiest installs Ive ever done also. You simply pop off the faceplate of the PS5, unscrew the cover to the SSD slot, pop the SSD in place, screw it down to hold it in place, replace the SSD cover and screw it back into place as well, then replace the faceplate on the PS5 and then turn on the system and format the SSD and youre good to go. Takes all of 5 minutes to do. I give this item 5 stars on everything except the price.
