Ms. Elda Shanahan MD
> 3 dayThis book tackles topics like identity, transition, queer spaces and relationships, amidst a deliciously dark setting and a twisted plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read. The characters are the focus of the story and they are carefully crafted, odd little beings that will stay in your brain long after you put the book down. I would recommend this to anyone exploring their own identity or just looking for a fun and captivating read.

Greater than one weekI loved this quick bizarro novella! It had multiple turns in it that took me on a new adventure in every section. Well worth the read, was not expecting the end.

> 3 dayNot for the faint of heart but so richly written it is worthy attention. Gabriel takes the reader to another world with characters both human and inhumane and managed to hit us in the gut with images of our own world as woeful as it could be. This book offers a lot to think about and isnt that what all great writers offer in the end.

> 3 dayA new author for me, and he/they are good. I am a fanatic for urban, sci-fi, paranormal, mystery, horror...well, anything that showcases a really talented author. This takes all of my genres and slants them sideways, with a cocktail shake. A really vigorous, over the shoulder shake. Its like a medieval fairy tale that dreams of Stephen King , studies under Seanne McQuire, and flirts with Devon Monk. Unique is a pretty mild word; utterly creative and captivating arent strong or dark enough.

> 3 dayThis book is amazing. If you like books thatll make your skin crawl and make you care about questionable characters, pick this book up. Itll make your insides feel all squishy and itll make you cry at least once. A wonderful discussion of Queer communities in such a fleshed (hehe) out fantastical setting. A+, youll be sorry if you dont read this.

> 3 dayI just adore this story. Its so imaginative and the magic system (if you can call it that) is so bizarre but it makes sense in the world theyre in. I understand its not for everybody. As the title indicates, it IS pretty visceral but I loved it. I cant wait to read his other book, Dead Boys, and I really hope he continues writing. The worlds he builds really take you on a trip. Just...be prepared for the ride.
