ViewSonic 3800 Lumens SVGA High Brightness Projector for Home and Office with HDMI Vertical Keystone (PA503S)

Excellent product. We have another viewsonic 3800 that I have moved to the barn because it just won’t quit. We use them everyday as a tv projector in a large room with lots of windows. Brightness is definitely not an issue. I have it connected to a hdmi switch box with a harmony remote so the kids can easily get to what they want. Definitely recommend.

Purchased as a replacement to an older PJD5133 that was a solid performer and lasted 5+ years with no issues. I wanted something brighter and went with the PA503W which is a good unit. Im happy with the picture quality and brightness. My issue is the bulb has failed on me with 210 total hours. Had to order a replacement which is not cheap and has me questioning the longevity and value of this investment. I ordered a premium bulb replacement so im hoping this will last several years.

Pros: A lot! The brightness is truly stunning. The resolution is nothing but awesome. Cons: No tripod hole at the bottom. The throw is longer than compact projectors. You need to distance the projector further from the screen to have a large picture. Returning only because I want to go with a more compact unit like Viewsonic M2 by spending twice.

It is lightweight and easy to set up! The picture quality and clarity is awesome! I am happy with my purchase!

It works great for projecting PowerPoint Slides.

I use this in my classroom to allow me to keep students separated as the number of Covid cases has once again risen. I have never had a new projector, so I finally gave up and purchased one through Donors Choose. I wish I did this 7 years ago. I use it with an HDMI cord and my iMac. The clarity at about 30 feet projection onto a portable screen is amazing. This allows me to provide my students demonstrations without having them on top of me or each other. I originally wanted a different model, but I have to assume things happen as they should! We are in heaven with this!
