> 24 hourOther than a large chefs knife this is the only other knife you will ever need. Its extremely durable and dependable and sharp. Wonderful for working with small vegetables and fruits. The serrated knife cuts through bread and meat very well. Its so good you almost dont need a special bread cutting knife in the kitchen. I highly recommend this knife and I plan on buying more to give away as gifts. Made in Switzerland, not China.

> 24 hourThis knife is a game changer and must be bought by anyone who happens upon this product/review. I am the cook in our house and have a slight tendency to the purchasing of gadgets in my hobbies... cooking is one of them. So suffice it to say. I have a fair number of knives already. I have this same Victorinox knife in the non-serrated version and have LIKED it for years. It’s cheap, effective and “just works.” My mother-in-law and adult children all keep conspiring to use my best knives and NOT wash them so I needed a backup... in cake this purchase. This serrated option came up and had significantly more five star reviews and I couldn’t understand why. I do now!!! Here’s why EVERYONE in my house will use this knife first... even to the point of washing it if it’s dirty: 1. If you’re an amateur cook, you can cut veggies, meat and everything in between uniformly without any effort or significant skill level. 2. I’m not exactly certain why, but the serrations are not similar to other serrated knives I have. These “grip” even the slipperiest of things like tomatoes, meat, and recently rinsed foods. 3. While it’s forgiving for non-cooks, it’s excellent for folks with knife skills too. Diving onions is usually dine with a chef’s knife but this knife is so good that I’d rather use this instead. 4. It’s excellent with small things like garlic cloves, radishes, etc. if you ever wanted to thinly sliced something but worried about Messing up or slicing off the tip of your finger instead... get this knife. Your confidence level will soar and your food will look like you hired a Sous chef to prep it for you. TL;DR... buy it... NOW! I’ve never wanted to gift a knife... but this is such a good knife, it belongs in any “new home” gift kit!!!

> 24 hourI use it for most of my kitchen needs. I have bigger knives, when I need them, but this one is my most used. And so I bought a second, so I didnt have to wash the dishes as often.

> 24 hourWe seriously LOVE these knives. We have the paring version of this knife (black), but keep coming back to the serrated red one. I use it for honestly almost everything. It is sharp, light weight, easy to clean (dishwasher or by hand), and not fussy. This is what knife I use to teach my kids to cut vegetables/fruits. I havent had to replace any of them, but have only added to them. I got rid of almost every other knife in my drawer, except a large bread knife and chefs knife. I gave my mom and mother-in-law one of these for Christmas, and my MIL just ordered another for their new kitchen while they are living out of state for the winter. Inexpensive, fantastic little knives. Please never stop making these!

> 24 hourI love this knife! The sharp tip is great for removing the stem, and the serrations make it superb for slicing anything delicate like tomatoes or French bread.

> 24 hourI bought this after reading an article about it and it is so lightweight and sharp. Great for slicing tomatoes etc. I bought one for my sister and she loves it too. So handy!

> 24 hourI bought this specifically for slicing tomatoes because I was tired of getting smashed slices and seeds all over the place from other knives. This is very sharp and does a great job slicing as thin or thick as you prefer.
