> 3 dayI bought this for the aircraft band. Ive got Jax high altitude, Jax, Craig, St Aug, NAS, Herlong, and Cecil Field all programmed in. Everything is pretty straightforward and simple to use. Didnt even need the owners manual. The marine band scans so fast its crazy...I bought the refurbished unit, a great deal.

> 3 dayGreat little scanner ! Very easy to program… the sound is very clear, even if you need to turn up the volume .. picks up surrounding town frequency’s with no problem .it had s built in clock and an Fm radio receiver ... one minor negative , it took long to deliver .. but turns out it was worth the wait ! Highly recommend ..

> 3 dayOrdered the BC365CRS on May 31st. Very fast service from Amazon, even with standard shipping. Unit arrived OK and all parts were in the pkg as advertised. This scanner is very easy to set up & program; took me just a few minutes to program the ANALOG (only) frequencies in. If you dont live in an urban setting, I recommend connecting an external antenna, as this will provide much better reception than the plug-in antenna included with the scanner. I also recommend hooking up an external speaker for best audio quality. This scanner has lots of great features such as a priority channel, FM radio, clock/alarm clock functions, lighted display, and battery back-up for programmed frequencies/clock in case of power failure. All in all, a great scanner for the money.

> 3 dayIt was not very easy to figure out, but after reading the booklet and trying different buttons it seemed to pick up some stuff. The police channel didnt have anything coming in but it might have been a slow crime time.

> 3 dayIf you live within an area still using analog VHF UHF reception of local PD, FD, etc, it works fine. You want better reception plug a rooftop antenna into the BNC jack on the back of the scanner. That being said, there are no PL tones, 800 Mhz trunked, digital, or newer P25 radio system capabilities. Do your research before you purchase, to ensure it is compatible with the agencies you want to monitor in your area. Otherwise, you have wasted your money and will need a scanner in the $300. to $700. range.

> 3 dayThe Bearcat BC365CRS is a very nice radio. Listening to Military/Commercial Aviation daily via Davis Monthan AFB from my apartment. Tucson International is just beyond that. While I cant really use an external antenna at the apartment, the standard telescoping antenna supplied gives me a very sufficient signal strength for virtually all my listening. Amateur radio on 2 Meters and on 440 is clear. General Pima County services are quite clear. While the main Tucson Police Department is a trunked 800 MHz system and NOT covered by this radio, the remainder of city services and MedEvac helicopter are interesting to listen to. FM reception is quite adequate. Sound is exceptional considering the size of the speaker. Based on what I hear coming in on the NOAA Weather frequencies - the Mt Lemmon Transmitter is alright but not great quality. This isnt a scanning receiver issue. Their WX transmitter is only marginal. Alarm function is good. Either turn on the radio or tone with enough tone kick to wake anyone up. Compared to a regular Alarm Clock the alarm settings arent as easy to use as a dedicated digital clock though. Search modes by Service and programming those frequencies into memory is pretty straightforward . Five Stars.

Greater than one weekThis is a great desktop scanner at a good price. Quite easy to program and use. I own other police scanners and this one has the best sound quality.
