My wife and I were moving from Michigan to Massachusetts. The drive was made much easier with this EZ Pass. We were able to hit the EZ Pass lanes and when the first toll booth we hit said EZ Pass Accepted my wife and I were real surprised how easy it really was. The set up online is simple as well. Would highly recommend.

Very easy to install & set up! Must have if you travel all the time or just on occasion.

The pass is excellent. As many toll roads have removed staffing at the booths they now charge extra fees to pay by mail. This allows direct billing to my account with reduced rates and eliminates the additional payment for mail in payments. It will pay for itself very quickly.

Sticks to the windshield securely. Easy to move, I removed it and put it back as part of a rear view mirror replacement. Pays the tolls. Looks nice to boot.

Im an existing E-Pass customer, and following all the marketing Id seen, I ordered through Amazon. However when I tried to activate it on the Epass website, I received an error message. Apparently existing customers should not purchase through Amazon. If Id purchased through E-Pass, I would have received it already activated. I had to call customer service and then it took a supervisor to change out my assigned transponder number on my account. Not difficult, just not explained anywhere. Also, I was advised to avoid SunPass roads for the first day. Really? In Orlando? The capital of toll roads where authority switches between the two on some roads?

This now gives us access to the fast lane of toll services throughout most of the eastern states

Worked like a charm. Knew exactly what and why we were being charged.

The registration must go to the activation process instead of creating an account if the transponder was bought via Amazon. However, this is what I discovered already. You cannot have more than one vehicle entered at a time. So, if you want to switch it between your vehicles, or a rental car, you must remove your vehicle info and change it each time. It appears to be a way to force you to buy multiple Uni’s to avoid the hassle. I have a FastTrak that is much easier to use as you can have multiple vehicles, and it even has a method to enter rental cars for a limited timeframe. Unfortunately, the Uni website does not allow this. I havent used it yet, but I will write a commentary as soon as I use it.

Awful for travel and one of the worst Customer Service ever! If youre thinking in using Uni for rentals, look elsewhere! I had been using for years SunPass for my travels to Florida, and never had any issue: plane landed, went to the rental lot, installed the transponder, changed the plates details, and avoided the absurd rental toll fees. However, in a recent house move, my SunPass transponder got damaged, so I decided to give the Uni a try, reading about its compatibility in all of Florida and 19 states in all. The Uni transponder arrived fast, and I took it on my trip. I had activated it online with $10 in my account and as soon as I was on the rental lot of the Miami Airport, I installed it, change the plates details on their website and was on my way. About a week after my trip ended, I received a receipt from Hertz for tolls for the first day of my rental, something that didnt make any sense ($1 for tolls plus $6 for service). And this was not a double billing issue, as these tolls were not on my Uni account. So, I contacted the Uni support team and after a couple of back-and-forth messages, basically their logic is that for some reason the transponder did not work the first day (twice!) and that any changes made to the plates in tha account are not assumed by them in the next 24-hour period. In other words, if you take the Uni with a rental, and change the details of the plates, which is required, in the next 24 hours, youre on your own, unless you can guess the plates of the car the rental will give you 24 hours in advance. If for some reason the transponder was not working, or there was an issue with the tolls reader antenas, youre out of luck and these guys wont stand by their product. When I asked them where the information was about this 24-hour windows, in their terms or FAQs, as I might had missed it, they dodged the question, as this is not explained anywhere on their site (as of the time of this writing). I get that there might be issues, but what really bugs me is the awful support, a.k.a, were perfect, its your issue. It felt like talking to one of the big telcos. And what worried me about their response, is that this can happen again, and once again, it will my problem and by no means theirs. Just to be clear, their terms do say that whenever you have a new vehicle, such as a rental, you are required to register on their website or app, the plates. Then again, in the first 24 hours after registering the plates, if the transponder does not work, their response will be tough luck! Im returning this unit to Amazon and at least for now, purchasing a new SunPass transponder.
