> 3 dayI actually got the 1 hp pump first and it wasnt that much more than this so I ended up just going back to this one. this pump to be a little too much for my size pond. I just would recommend googling the calculation to determine how much water your pond has and get the right pump to circulate your ponds water in 1-2 hours. My pond was a little small. Highly recommended

> 3 dayWorks great in draining a pond that was formerly known as my pool. Still had to finish off leaves at the bottom of pool with buckets but it is a semitrash pump and did better than expected. Well built and solid. Would recommend

> 3 dayI was going to buy an almost identical item from another brand, but then their price went way up. This is a great pump to empty your pool. The same type you would rent at a large hardware store. I have ordered pumps before that were supposedly capable of emptying a pool, and they were complete failures.

> 3 dayInstead of using a pond pump for my waterfall that will clog with debris I use this baby... runs like a champ moves 3000 GPH and will send through anything up to and including A small gold fish. (shake your pump a little before plugging it in if your fish are nosey just an FYI)

> 3 dayI dont write very many reviews, but I thought that this pump deserved one. During heavy rain, my grease pit in my shop floods and fills up with water. The pit is 4 ft. Wide 6ft. Deep and 20 ft. Long and I had water about 4 ft. deep. This pump worked wonders, it drained it down to about 3 inches deep in less than an hour. It keeps the 2 inch discharge hose solid with water the entire time . I didnt completely submerge it, just kept the impeller section below the water surface and had no issues whatsoever. The only drawback is that the pump can only pump water down to about 3 inches deep unless you put it below grade. Which is nothing wrong with the design, as its not made to do anything differently. All in all, I would highly recommend this pump for anyone needing to remove a lot of water fast. Its rated at 53 gallons per minute and I believe that it maintains that very well.
