> 3 dayUnfortunately, only one of the two 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM chips works. I installed this on my Mac Mini and Im writing this on my Mac Mini with one 8GB RAM chip and one 2GB RAM (total of 10GB). I tried swapping the slots on the Mac Mini and determined one of the two chips is faulty. Please advise on the process to replace one (or both). I will change my rating when I get a response based on the customer service.

> 3 dayI have a late 2011 model 13 MacBook. It was increasingly slower and would freeze up and stop working. I thought I would have to buy a new laptop. I really didnt want to come off with that expense at this time. It occurred to me since it was a loading issue I might need more RAM than I needed in 2011. After much research I found this item would work. Clearly under $100 for an upgrade of RAM beat $1800 or more for a new laptop. I still had plenty of hard disk space left. There are videos to show you how to do this. I recommend buying spare screws in case you drop one like I did. The kit of spares I got came with the correct size screwdriver to do the job. It also came with a brush which I used to remove the dust that had built up for 9 years. It was extremely easy to remove the old RAM and install the new. Do this if your computer is slow and not loading content quickly. Its a small expense to see if that is the problem. Just make sure you discharge the power before you open the back of the laptop.
